Default The Long Wait Begins

I've been looking at tC's for about 3 months now. I finally decided to go ahead and order one on Saturday. I went with Flint Mica and I hope I won't be disappointed with the color. I really liked that color on a tC I seen, but I didn't get a real good look at it. I went with the base model with no accessories added. Many mod's to come in the future though. The dealership said I should be able to pick up my car in 4-8 weeks. I'm hoping it will be closer to 4 than 8 though.

doesn't it make you wish you ordered it while you were looking into it? man, if I could go back and slap myself in the face months ago to put an order in, I'd be happily driving my tC right now.... my dealer quoted 4-8 weeks as well, but they've been filling orders in 3-5 so I can keep my fingers crossed.

I don't know how you guys do it.... I guess you have to though.

I got mine in 1 week and 5 days and I was going crazy the hours before we (my parents and me) went to pick it up. My parents are close friends with the owner of the Toyo/Scion dealership so we met him for lunch BEFORE picking the car up... I was sitting at the table the whole time GOING NUTS in disguise.

I have been waiting 10 weeks now for my tC. The dealer asid that the status changged from getting ready to be shipped from port, to its istting at the port. i finally told him that I was going to buy another car and that this was unnacceptable.

So, what does he do....he gives me a freeloaner car until the tC comes in. A 2004 Toyota Prius with all the bells and whistles. Interesting car, takes time getting used to it.

Still doesn't make me happy thoguh about waiting 10 weeks.

well at least your dealer got you a loaner, that was nice of them!!

has anyone contacted scion to find out what's going on with the wait? I've heard that when people do that, they get their cars faster.. just a thought

yup waiting sucks im only on week 1 of my waiting time i got 7 more weeks to go until i get mine (dealer contract says i get my car within 60days). Its like buying something online and waiting for it to be shipped at your door. i try not to think about it even though i had my eye on it back in january!

Before i bought the tC i always thought to myself that I'd only get a black car. however, i believe that the tC looks best in flint mica. I ordered mine before seeing it in person because the pictures online made the car look great. when i picked it up i was surpised at how there are little flakes that make the car glitter and shine. At night the car looks almost black, and in the sunlight it has almost a green color to it. You wont be disappointed when you pick it up (hopefully sooner than later).

Default The Long Wait Ends

Thank God the wait is finally over. I went and picked up my tC yesterday and so far, so good. I really like the Flint Mica and think I made the right choice with it. Now the fun begins. I'm not sure what I want to get done to it first, but I have plenty of mods planned.

Another FM here. The color is great. What maratk1 said is true.
Bright sun hit my car yesterday (rains all the time here in OR) and it was sparkly.

Good luck on getting the tC. The wait is well worth it :D
