I got my '08 black tc keyed today. I just put the plates on too. First time driving it to school with the plates on. It's on the driver's side and is about one inch long. I could only see it in the sun though. I tried buffing it out with a little wax, but I can still see it at an angle.

 

you can probably fix it, not too bad really.

Uh, are you proposing that the same guy travelled 2500 miles just to key another tC?

 

Well...mine wasn't that bad. My friend got his blue rsx keyed like that though. I'll try applying a lil touch up paint and buffing it out. =(. I parked next to 3-4 other tcs, and I don't think they got keyed.

Yeah and then when the land mine goes off it won't do anything to your car either. Way to stop the keyers!

meguiar's scratch X does the trick!

 

dont use touch up paint....9 times outta 10, it'll make it look worse

 

haha well 'd take a 1 inch scratch anyday over what I had done to me. Of course I got to do my dream paint job but still a PITA!


Yours was prolly by total mistake. And dont use scion touch up paint. It sucks!

 

You gotta be careful where you park your car bro especially at school.

 

Yeah a one inch scratch does not sound like an intentional keying job. Get ready to mind a new scratch/Chip everytime you wash it with a black tC.
