xb lowering springs
I'm looking at getting some lowering springs for the box but, not sure what ones I want. Can I get some of you fellow Northwest xb owners opinions as to some of the better springs for the Northwest roads. Thanks alot guys
If you want to go really low Tein "S" techs...(what we have on ours)
If you want to go low but still have a comfortable ride Tein "H" techs or Tanabe DF210s
Personally I would not go w/ any others...

Rick i put the Tein H techs on my box and i love it. None the less it is fairly easy to do and i have some spring compressors if you want to use them. Heck i would be more than happy to help when you are ready.
Tein H tech is about 1" drop S tech is about 1.5 Where Tanable DF210 is 2" drop Tanable NF210 is I believe 1.5 but not sure, all are fine for this area IMO. Another spring that is good is Eibach either Sport 1.5" or Pro 2" and they are a progressive coil spring. I have Tein S tech and happy with them but it really depends on you how low you want to go. Hope this helps.
If you are interested I am going to have a set of Tein s-techs for sale, perfect condition, and a set of Tanabe NF210's already mounted on monroe struts. Both are in great shape and you can choose really low with the s-techs or just low with the Tanabe's.
I have the TRD spring/struts (early ownership fopa). I have ridden in Dougs car with the Tein set-up and was WAY more impressed with the ride/comfort level over the TRD set-up. . Given the choice, I'd go Tein. (a slightly used set would be even better because the extra "sag" will have already taken place and you can get your alignment done right away rather than potentially running your tires out whiles you are enjoying the look and feel of the new drop.
Rick, I'd say, you can't go wrong with either the Tein's or Tanabe's. I'd probably look into the ones Doug has since they are already broke in. I am running the Stechs on my car, very happy with them.
I got the springs on Tuesday and within 3 hours had them on. And then this morning got alligned. The change is nice looking with no big wheel gap anymore.

The ride quality is actually pretty good for a lowered car. I'm just having to get used to stepping out of the car, didn't think a couple inches would be that different. lol
