also consider silver...pretty much anything dark (blue, black, red) is gonna be hard to keep clean...they'll show swirl marks, scratchs and nicks easier as well.

black sucks big nuts..
i hate it.. i regret it cuz its so hard to keep clean.

white or silver...
silver u can go 3 weeks no wash WHILE dirty and can't tell..
if i don't dry my car correctly.. the next day(after a car wash)
it'll look terrrible..

thundercloud, which i can best describe is sorta gunmetal with a little bit of bronze in it.

i've gone months at a time w/o washing my thundercloud xB. It is practically the color of dirt.

I agree it would have to be the white or silver that doesn't need a lot of hand washs. I wish I wasn't so into the blue oynx pearl :? But it sparkles when it is clean! :D

white

white is by far the easiest. it won't show scratches like other colors.

Werd on white.

I have a white MX-3 and sanded it so I can shoot, but my lazy ___ never got around it. It's still sanded but at times you can't really tell, it's just not shiny.

Can't wait for my Polar XB to arrive here on March!!

suprisingly, camoflage is pretty easy to keep looking good.

white and thundercloud are a gimmie though.

Yup, getting ThunderCloud, switched from Blue. When there's a small nick or scratch on a dark car, you can see it miles away  :(

Insurance also wont go up (at least mine) just due to it being a metallic color. I guess the "red car=higher insurance" is an urban legend or at least on non exotic cars. Check w/your insurance first though.

white hides waterspots the best, silver hides road grime the best.

if it rains a lot where you live I would go with white. I have a white car and it stays clean most the time. the only thing I hate is winters because the crap from the roads shows on white really bad

What is the easiest xB color to keep looking best?

Our white xB still looked pretty good after our 1000 miles trip through the Sierras, where it picked up a lot of yuch from the sanded roads. Yes, if you got up close you could see the dirt, but from any distance it wasn't noticable.

I don't think that a dark color would have been as forgiving.

Yep .............POLAR WHITE is the best to keep clean.

My first car was a midnight blue about 14 years ago. I vowed never to get a dark color ever again.
My xB is the 3rd white car i have owned since...hehe and its never been easier to maintain..

Thought about the lighter colors, but black is just sweet!!! Especially after you wax it... Had mine for bout a month: 2 hand washes and 1 wax. Not too hard to keep sparkling. Use the microfiber towels though. You can get a pack of 12 (large sized) at Costco for $8.

What is the easiest xB color to keep looking best?
The Easiest color to keep clean is the invisible coat, on the "I wish I had an xB" model. I havent had to wash it yet...

You can wash any color and it'll look good..

Repairs are another story. White and Black are the easiest to do paint chip and scratch repair on. Other than that, anything without metallic flakes is next. Metallic paint is the hardest to match with chip repair, EXPECIALLY if you do it yourself.

I think that's what you need to consider the most.
