Fairly recently (past couple of months or so) I noticed a scraping or rattling sound coming from the back of my car, and I figured it had something to do with the exhaust, whether it be a loose connection or hanger but it turns out that the perforated (I assume) metal in the muffler is loose and rattling. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to fix it? I've had the Strup for less than a year, I wouldn't expect it to be giving me problems after this short time.

This is a first im hearing this. My GF has had the Strup first gen on her xB for almost 3 years now. She was scraping the muffler for some time, but it has since flattened out and she doesnt scrape any more.

The muffler isn't scraping on anything, the expanded steel tube inside the muffler is loose and rattling.

I would contact the supplier you bought it from, or contact Strup directly.

I just had to had an additional hanger fabbed to my Strup. Still love the sound and performance though. :)

i know what it is...
check your farthest rear exhaust hanger. its rubbing against the tow hook. how i solved that was a zip tie to pull it away from the hanger and center it up and a foam beer can holder in between the end of the hanger and the tow hook.
the zip ties i got are from Lowes. They are very strong and last a very good while. the foam beer can holder you may need to fold over and move around. but no big deal.
i think what would be better would be a foot from a steel folding chair, that'd fit perfectly id think
