I wish Toyota would just put USB ports in their car stereos.

Just plug in your USB drive, pull it out when you leave. An 8gb flash drive is a hell of a lot cheaper than an 80gb iPod.

Good Idea... A flash drive would be prefect. I'll think twice before I put another $300 ipod and and 8 gigs of music in my ride.

Your 'fault' is not hiding it or taking it out of the car. Did you leave it in plain sight?
Suck$ but I guess you'll have to buy one of the new generation iPods.

It's also easier to manage the contents of a USB drive. No need for stinking itunes.

why'd you get a 8GB Nano? When you could've got a 30GB Video for the same price?

Actually, I had it inside the armrest plugged into the ipod port. My mistake...not making sure my Scion security was on.

I gonna get the new iPod Touch. This one I won't leave in the car.

Honestly, even if you would have the alarm set, in the time it would have taken them to get in there, go through the armrest and high tail it out of there, it wouldn't have mattered.

Just do yourself a favor in the future and don't leave anything valuable in your car. I've seen peoples cars broken into for $5 sitting in the change holder.

It's a messed up world we live in...

The first thing you need to do it go into your glove box, open the manual, then look for the manual that came with the scion alarm. Then reprogram your alarm so its "passive" (automatic) which will arm/lock your car for you when/if you forget. The alarms default is "non-passive" (not automatic) but all you have to do is take 5 mins of your time to program and your set.

Why not just buy an old iPod on eBay for $20?

Good point. I just never thought about adjusting the alarm. I could have sworn it was already in the passive mode. Maybe I did something to make it non-passive by mistake.

Thanks for the tip.
