So I've been pondering a purchase for over a year now and I've probably looked at about 2000 different styles. Never ever did I imagine when I started that I would end up with gold but I absolutely love it. The rims are Enkei NT03+M 17x8 +48. The tires are BFG KDW2 in the stock size. Didn't want to worry bout speedo calibrations. I'm extremely happy with my choice. As far as I know I'm the only person with a Nautical Blue and gold wheels. I've searched and searched and can't find any. If there are others I would love to see pictures. I ordered the from tirerack.com and they had the cheapest price I could find. Out the door it was $1574. I used paypal to pay for it and got cash back for using my paypal debit card. I also used fatwallet.com and got 3% cash back from them. So I ended up with about $50 back. Anyway, on to the pictures. I know the car is dirty and the pictures are pretty impromptu with no setup or anything so forgive me. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do.
This is how they came to me

This is my mission. 4 wheels and tires, lug nuts (soon to be replaced), my handy dandy torque wrench, and some friendly stray cat (although it wasn't included in the purchase)

First one all mounted up!

The new tires, love these things by the way. Second set I've owned. Highly recommend.

Lastly, the money shot! Or rather the only one I really like from the 50 that I took.

Again, hope you enjoy. I'll post some daylight shots when I get her washed and waxed in the next few days.

And as promised...daytime pics! Got up early this morning to wash and wax her. I got some that turned out good. Hope you enjoy!

none yet. need to wash and wax her first. it's been either way to hot or really nasty out. i'm hoping for a cool breezy saturday morning. i'll update when i get some.

for whatever reason in my head i thought gold and blue would look awesome so thats what i did. didn't have anything to compare it to as i think i'm the first on the forums to do it

like i said i owned these tires once before on a different car and i can't say enough about them. and i can respect your choice. i never thought they would appeal to many. i never thought they would appeal to me at first actually. after much thought and many many many many choices and changing my mind and going back and forth I saw them on a subaru coming out of best buy and i was sold. i keep looking at my car and having to remember that it's mine. haha. thanks for the comments!

anyone know of any brake pads that don't dust as much. these stock pads are crap for creating dust

Nice wheels, those tires look a little beefy, or maybe its just to late for me.

i think it belongs to the neighbors. it was friendly so i let it hang around. its brother on the other hand wouldn't come near us for anything. just hung out cuz the other cat was there i guess. we kept feeding it chicken nuggets! haha

i didn't like it either when i first saw the wheel online. i wasn't sure about it at all. enkei says its there to add stability to wheel. i okay with it now. i suppose it has grown on me. i'm not sure about the stability thing but i do know it makes them a PITA to clean

why do u have two air valve on it?

pb4ugoout
09-30-2007, 06:45 PM
2 reasons...you can fill and monitor the pressure at the same time with two seperate devices. the other is for filling the tire with nitrogen. they are racing wheels and the easiest way to get all of the oxygen out of the tire is to purge it out by filling with the nitrogen. so you fill one valve with nitrogen and release the oxygen through the other valve. the nitrogen is lighter than the oxygen and as the tire fills it pushed out the oxygen. i thought it was a screw-up in the photos on the web but thats what tirerack told me when i called them. it's pretty cool. not many ppl have seen a wheel with two stems!

i think they are pretty rare. only ever seen 1 other pair in person. good to know there are more out there i guess

+48 was the only offset offered. If I had had the choice I would have chosen differently. The wheels is slightly more than a half inch closer to the strut and sticks out slightly less than a half inch more than stock. I have thus far had no clearance or rubbing problems. i kinda like the way they sit. would rather them not stick out real far. don't want to look like a roller skate

As I was reading before I saw the pics I was like "ehhh" but it looks good man. Nice choice, especially to do something different.
