Default Anyone installed block heater for xB?

As winter approaches in Montana, I am looking for block heater info for my 2005 xB. I found the Toyota part #00213-00885. Has anyone installed one of these? Anyone have directions, tips or pictures? Thanks in advance.

It's easy - remove airbox.... lube it up... and put it into the hole in the rear of the block...

Works like a charm on a winter night!

Id love to have one in my xa. Would also help bump up the fuel economy on my daily 3 runs of 7 miles between both jobs. I can plug in at both jobs and apartment.

You can also get a dip stick one or one you stick to the side of the block if you do not want to screw with the freeze plugs. Make sure to use pklenty of anti sizez so you can unscrw it in a few years and replace it if needed. Otherwise those freeze plugs can weld theslves in.

I just installed the block heater last week. It's very straight forward as long as you get the right part (the parts guy gave me the wrong one the first day -- my fault -- and I wrestled with it for three hours). It should take between 45 min and an hour and is easily routed and mostly hidden in the grill. I will try to do a write up this week, although my camera is fried so there will unfortunately be no pictures.
