Default i have a few questions i need suggestions for.

this will be my first winter with the tc, and i'm unsure what kind of winter tire to get. anyone have any luck finding "the perfect tire" or know some good ones i could check out?

and i cant decide whether or not to get a set of chrome rims or black with a chrome lip for my silver tc.

Hi:
I used Dunlop Wintersport M3's on my Mazda 3 last winter. They were outstanding.
I just bought a set of Wintersport 3D's for my wife's tC from Tire Rack. The 3D is the new upgraded version of the M3. I bought them in size 205/55-16 H rated, mounted on alloy wheels. I won't mount them on the tC until December.
I am very happy with the performance from the Wintersport M3's. I put 5,000 miles on them last winter in the northeast and they were very stable and predictable. I recall one snowy evening on the Merit Parkway in CT, driving home from NY where I saw at least 6 cars spun out on the side of the road in a 20 mile stretch. I was not slipping at all and was able to maintain 45mph safely on snow covered highway. That's why I just bought the Dunlops for my Scion.
The DunlopM3's and 3D's are a high performance winter tire and work well on snow, dry and wet pavement as well.

Ron

oh the meritt in the winter... I tried making it up the hill between exits 59 and 58 and barely crested the hill... that was with stock tires though.
