I know it doesn't matter for 318_tC since his is an '06, but the belt guide you provided was for the 05-06. The Crank and S/C belts are different for the 07 model than on the 05-06. I just wanted to clarify for others who may read this, so it should read like this: (found here (http://www.nonstoptuning.com/infoPageBelts.htm))

NST Belt Guide:
05-06 Scion tC Crank NST02020-crank requires K060747
05-06 Scion tC Alternator NST02022-alt OEM belt
05-06 Scion tC Water Pump NST02025-wp OEM belt
05-06 Scion tC TRD SC NST02065- use K070890

07 Scion tC Crank NST02020-crank requires K060737
07 Scion tC Alternator NST02022-alt OEM belt
07 Scion tC Water Pump NST02025-wp OEM belt
07 Scion tC TRD SC NST02065- use K070885

The K part number belts are Gates belts

There is already some good info here, but let me add a little more just for clarification...

Looking at the number, K060747 for example...

K06 is a universal designation for a 6 rib belt that will be measured in US standards. Meaning it will be followed by a number measured in inches.

0747 is the measurement in inches. Meaning 74.7 inches. Gates often comes to mind because Gates is the most recognized name in belts.

So if your inexperienced auto parts store guy has a dumb look on his face when you say K060747 then you can tell him you need a 6rib belt that is 74.7inches.

If he still looks at you funny, then you should not be buying your parts from such a salesman!!!

Please feel free to look for me on AOL Instant Messenger at the screen name NSTonAIM should you have any other questions or need any further clarification. Thanks again everyone, good luck and have fun with all your projects!

from my experience... it's a great belt, if ur not supercharged. Doesnt stretch hardly, quiet, strong. But it is a hard rubber and the contact pattern takes away surface area contacting pulleys which in turn slips easy under strain (Supercharger).
For NA or turbo applications it is great.

so what would be a good belt for a supercharger application? could you tell me?
