i just bought a clarion head unit and the PAC SWC adapter. i'm very familiar with installing HU's but have not tackled any SWC systems. the directions that came with PAC SWC were vauge at best. has anyone installed one of these or have the any idea of what wires i need to connect to in the factory harness?? thanks in advance!

I just ordered mine today. I will tackle it probally a week from today weather permitting.. I'll let ya know.. I did check everything out.. On the PAC's site it tells you which wires to tap into. Just read it agian & a third time.. It will make sense sooner or later.. but if you can wait, I'll do mine & help you with yours...

i really do appreciate it jimmbomb!! i've checked every wire on the 2 extra plugs that don't do anything for a new HU 20 times. I found one that ohms out, but none with power coming to them. please help me if you can!!! you'll be my hero... uh, wait... how did everyone get in my room???

i think the wire only powers up when a button is pushed....

forgot to mention that i did that while checking it 20 times... all the buttons... and nothing. i'm thinking that one of the wires (power) ran thru the stock HU and back to the SWC to give it power. not having it hooked up any more, the SWC gets no power (even the light in the mode button when the headlights are turned on) if you have any luck, let me know. its frustrating, to say the least... good luck.
