Default My xB got bumped today!

I was in a drive thru picking up foods.

The person behind me accidentally let off the brake and bumped my poor car.

Its got at least four major scratches from (where the front license plate should be) the screws on the front of the car. As far as I could see the damage was all localized to the rear bumper.

I'm no car body guy... when my 2006 xB got hit by a real jerk I thought it would cost under $500 to repair. It seemed to be minor damage. It ended up costing $1500 to paint the rear quarter panel and the entire bumper... to top that off... the body shop did a terrible job.

My poor Hypnotic Teal Mica :'(

Has anyone had their bumper repainted? Did it cost a lot? Any other thoughts?

If I can't get the person to corporate I'll have to go though their insurance.

I'll have to take pictures soon and when I do I'll post them whether anyone is interested or not

Thanks a lot!

I was in a fender bender at the beginning of august... it cost just over 500 bucks to replace and repaint the entire bumper cover, if you've only got scratches I can only imagine it costing less. Mine was dented, rippled and fiber glass shredded up... Good luck with this.

Since I had her trapped in the drive thru...

I was able to get all the information I needed.

Now to decide. File a claim with her insurance and don't deal with her... or do it all myself.

I don't really have time to mess around so its about %99.9 likely I'll go through her insurance.

go through the insurance, I have been burned before by trying to be nice and letting them pay out of pocket.
