Default The official A-pillar creak fix is HERE!!

Just talked to my local service manager, and he said two days ago the official repair bulletin hit all dealers. It involves two spot welds, and the vehicle will have to be sent to a body shop for the repair. At least my dealer is offering a loaner for the time the vehicle is in the shop.

So is this a TSB? More details on welds?

Just called my dealer and have no record of any bulletin for the new xB. She checked through all the scion reports and nothing came up, it's not out yet (if this is true).

This is the largest toyota/scion dealer in Cleveland... Id expect they would have it if everybody was supposed to get it days ago...

Yeah I'm calling BS on this one too. This Psycho character has one post and no evidence of an actual issue let alone a TSB.

The TSB has several pictures with arrows indicating where the welds are to be placed. According to my service manager the TSB was received two days ago. I post this information in an effort to be helpful, as there are many members with this creaking problem (myself included). If you wish to ignore this information just because I didn't bother to register until I had something useful to post then enjoy your creaky box.

Don't all dealerships have their own in-house body shops?

I have a small creak, but it doesn't bother me in the least bit. It's on the drivers side and seems to be the plastic dash rubbing, that's all.

If you drive constantly with no radio or any other noise it may bother you,but even if my radio is on to low levels (>5) there is no way I can hear it.
