Just pull off the surround and then the panel with the prndl plate in it, theres only one small bulb in there. Unscrewing the shift **** helps

Ok.. thanks lvbitwiz....... (lol I still cant figure out what your nickname is supposed to be)
I found this package of 2 -9 inch LED strips at Advanced Auto Parts for 21 dollars.

Saw that there was a resistor ever 3 LEDs so I counted 6 lights (3 per resistor) & cut it with a siccors. Seen to the right of the package is one strip cut to about 4 & 1/2 inches long.

Then ran the wires thru the now vacated bulb socket hole & tapped into the existing bulb wires, leaving the existing bulb dangling deep inside the shifter cavity.

Laid the new board inside the light channel & tested for power.

Put the covers back on & now I got ALL dash & gauge & P R N D S lights turned to blue finally.

It's something I slap on together with proto board...
I've used flux LED... you can use pretty much what ever LED you like...

Make sure to use the right resistor....
When I get a chance to remake them... with better wiring... I'll post the picture...

Djfrone says..."thats awesoume so what u do with the orignal lights that were there?""

the stock bulb is still in there!! I just took it out of the socket hole, & let it dangle deep inside the cavity.. cant be seen & is still lit up, but causing no damage...

I just dont want to go real bright as to distract from the rest of the dash.. but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... Go For It!.. if it's too bright, then put in less leds.. good luck... jh

Hey with my left over lights.......... i could make 3 more of these 6-light strips, that will fit in your P R N D S light cavity... all I gotta do is solder wires onto 2 strips & the 3rd one already has some... Ssssssssssssoooooooooooooooo.. like I said... I could do this..... if i could get rid of the 3 strips.. hhhhhhmmmmmmm i wonder if I know of anyone who would want them?? lemme see.. it cost me 22 bucks.. soo divide that by 4 ( 4 strips) & you're looking at 5.50$ each... So mailing them in a soft padded envelope probally would cost 2 bucks..... soo I could make & mail 3 of these at probally $8 bucks each.... PM me anyone might be interested... I will only make them if I have 3 folks who want them & willing to pay pal me 8 bucks for shipping.... I will include about 7 inches of wire. so all you gotta do is to twist out the stock light socket.... & tap into those wires........ jh
