they are pretty easy to install. but you kinda have to know what you are doing. know any friends that know how to do this stuff?

personally, ive heard that sony CAR audio isn't that great. and installation isn't that difficult. just check on a few sites like crutchfield.com or something of that nature. (GOOGLE it if you must).....pending whether you have a stock stereo head unit, you may need a converter (about $20.00 at Best Buy)

yea - stick with crutchfield for car audio stuff...best buy and circuit are alright for the average person, but there is way way way way too much markup on stuff there. I'm not a big fan of sony car audio. If you're going to go with a brand at best buy, look at rockford or alpine.

you'll be paying a lot if you have bby or circuit install for you. It usually takes them longer to tear your car apart than to install your stuff. Quality of installs tho?? Depends on the guy himself/ herself...

Its not hard tho..i bet your capable and don't even know it

try for alpine, diamond audio, jl, jbl, pioneer, kenwood, rockford fostgate. those are the popular ones. theres a bunch of other ones that are imported only by special order, but they'll prolly cost you more than your rims.

and if you only wanna spend 200-300 on a sub-amp. i'd suggest buy a package from best buy or something like that. i mean, you won't get the BEST quality, but you'll still be within your limit and have decent bass. personally, ive installed alpine e-class sub package on my friend's cougar with a 400w amp. sounded good actually. compared to his 1000w kenwood ported box package.

am i gonna have to spend $100 for a wiring kit too?

depends. i already had my wire at my house. Go to home depot if you wanna get cheap wire for your power and ground. your remote wire doesn't need to be big (16-18). Your sub/amp connection wire doesn't have to be anything big, but big enough to deliver the power to the subs. all in all, it really depends how much power you're putting out.

listen instalation costs may vary from location to location but not signifiganly in most cases. Go to a repraatable place someone who specializes in car audio. If you dont wanna foot the bill it isnt that hard to install yourself. I installed my own audio equip and I have only basic knowledge. Im sure there are people on here that would be willing to help you with any questions you may have or problems that may come up.

Do not go to Best Buy, Circuit City, or any of your other major electronic stores. I sold someone some MB Quarts before and Best Buy blew them as they installed them!

Go to local car audio shops or major chain car audio shops. Observe the techs, see what they've done before, etc
