Im a lil new to this, but i was think about lowering my xb. i will be running 225/40/18. i called a shop i got to regularly about lowering my ride. they said that i will be rubbing if i lower it, with the 1 1/2 lowering springs. i started laughing and was alright talk to u later........ is it true waht they said? i think they're crazy!!! what kind of set ups are everyone running??? any suggestions or help will be appreciated......

Keep looking around. There's a couple people running the Tanabe DF210 springs with the 225/40R18 size tire. It really depends on the offset of the wheel and the width.

I think an 18x8.5 wheel with a 38mm offset would be just fine!

im going to be running 18 x 8 i think it was 40 or 45 offset. how much of a drop are the tanabes. i do a lot of commuting and am not looking to have a lot of issues,

I'm running 18x8 40 w/ 225/40R18 size tires and 2+" drop. No rubbing at all.
I will be changing to the DF210's soon.

Thanks for the info and help fellas. I will feel more comfortable lowering and commuting now. I kinda figured they were full of $h!t, but to each their own

I will be changing to the DF210's soon. ^^ those tires, rims are 18x7.5 same offset, on DF210's no rubbing what so ever.

there nuts.. Im on air slammed on 19x8 frnt and 19x9 rear and i still can drive my car with no rubbing.. the rear fenders are rolled.. I can go 8.5s up front and still not rub.. and 11s in the rear and not rub..

Those 18s shouldbe fine..

find a new shop they dont know crap..

OH Daily drivin with 2 kids One 1yo and one 6yo.. no problems!

Dang eight08, thats the look i want right there. xB looks nice. how much would a good bag setup run??? i was thinking about that at first, but figured it would be too expensive. Thats why i was thinking of going the springs route.
