Default Need help with tires

Well, it's finally time to replace my tires.. Just don't know what I should get. Can anyone recommend anything? I'm on my stock 17's right now; planning to drop my car with H-Tech's or BG Springs. Was looking at the Nitto NT-01 (225/45/17) tires but just wanted to know your opinions before I make the purchase.

Are you talking about http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...ance&tc=NITHZ8

They are basically a street legal road racing tire. I'm pretty sure they're not designed for any kind of weather (rain, snow, etc.) And would wear like crazy if you DD them.

What are you going to be doing with these tires. If you are racing then i think they would be a good choice. But for a daily tire go with an all-season, or maybe a summer tire since you live in Nevada.

Alright, thanks for the info guys. Now I'm leaning toward the Proxes4's. I will be using these tires for a daily driver. And I'd like something that have good traction in the rain because when it rains in Vegas, it RAINs.

Haha, I hear you on the rain in Vegas, I grew up there. One of my favorite hobbies was to go down and watch all the morons sink under the Charleston underpass. Go with the 4's, they handle great, rain or shine.

I am also going to be looking for some daily driver all-season tires relatively soon. I live in ohio, so snow is a concern, but I dont feel like getting snow tires. suggestions?

It really depends on how much you are willing to spend.

If you do a lot of driving and want a great all season for your money: Falken 912 is always a good choice. Kuhmo ASX is also a very good choice. Both those tires have a good amount of water escape routes (otherwise known as big tread groves) and both of them have good sipping (thin cuts in the tread blocks) that help the tire bite if it gets a little slippery. Also consider the Pirelli AS XL it is a great all season, has an excellent tread design and also has a reinforced side wall for better handling and quicker response.

They are my daily tires and constantly impress. I haven't been through a winter with them yet. We'll see how it goes...

Anyone have experience with Cooper Zeon Sport AS? heard anything about them? Just looking around quickly, the reviews have it pegged as a quality tire thats under the radar.

Are you kidding me? The Toyo Proxes 4 has one of the best wet traction ratings in it's class. This has been paralleled with customer reviews that align with this claim.
