I've heard of some xB's coming from the factory with the roof painted. I've never seen one though and thought it would be cool to get mine done in a silver. Anybody have any pics of these so I know what part to paint? Mine has to go into the bodyshop next week anyway for that wreck the GF had in it so I thought about getting him to paint the roof while it was there.

 

Ive seen the factory 2 tone and it doesnt look right! It should go to the body line like this...

Ive seen this one in person and it looks a lot better since it goes to the body line right under the windows

2 toned xb has his xBsilver and black. it looks sick!

 

Is the factory just the roof? Does the paint just go to the roof gutters and not down the side at all?

 

That is my xb,I took a lot of time,compared to the silver/black,and a whole bunch of others and decided that this was the best,it makes the roof look like all glass,and really does follow the true body line,the other,silver and black,sorry for using yous as a ref all the time,but it looks top heavy to me,plus some dont follw the bumper line to finish it off.Thanx for all the comments,pos or neg.Scion4life :twisted:

 

factory only paints the spoiler and main roof...and leaves the pillar the same and looks wrong...Scion4Life did it right plain and simple and if you want to do the same thing make sure you follow the body line and dont stop just on the roof

 

Thanks. Well I got 2tone just to be different. If we were going to buy a xB, might as well get something different than just 1 color. Even if people dont like it, dont think it blends well or whatever...we just got it to be different. Since mine was painted, my dealership painted another xB the same color, pattern as mine. Pretty much ____ed, but what can I do? Did some searching and I found someone else in Cali with the same 2tone pattern as well.

The familia is planning/trying to get 1 more 2tone xB next year. All depends on the new house. If so, not sure if dealership or aftermarket. Since it will be my sister's, we're leading to a fuscia/pink pearl. But this is only for thought...
