danscreations 10-10-2007, 01:50 AM Looking into a set of staggered wheels and been look around like crazy tring to figure out if they'll fit or not. Looks like the fronts will be fine but not sure on the rears and what tires to use.
18x8.5 et35
18x9.5 et35
Tires???
225/40/18

eight08customs 10-10-2007, 08:58 AM should fit but im the kind of person that will make it fit if it dont fit..
IowaSciontist 10-10-2007, 06:55 PM If it's an '08, you should be fine. I know a guy running 18x9 +32 F and 18x10 +38R with no rubbing. Dropped 2".

What size tires are you running?
I got the exact wheel and tire were going to test fit it tomarrow so I'll take some photos and post for those of you interested.
IowaSciontist 10-11-2007, 01:54 PM He never otld me what size tire it was. I would guess 35 series, They look pretty low profile.
NoLimitzBuilt 10-12-2007, 04:17 PM I am running 19's with 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with a +38 offset. I am running a 235-35-19 and then a 245-35-19.
danscreations 10-12-2007, 06:11 PM thanks for the replies! I wound up getting one wheel to test fit with a 255/35/18 tire and everything fits perfect. The car's not lowered if so I might go with the 245/35/18 rear. I think i'm going to run 235/40/18's front. Looks greats! Thanks Again!
danscreations 10-19-2007, 03:19 AM wanted to give you all an update and I hope mike the owner of the XB post some photos but worked out perfect. wound up running 225/40/18's front and 255/35/18's rear as they're the same overal diameter and the 235/40's would have been a bit taller on the front. the XB is at stock ride height right now but there is no rubbing what so ever and drives great. The wheels both front and rear are flush with the fenders so If he lowers it with the slight strech of the tire should clear perfect.
madpb 10-19-2007, 12:25 PM Just go my new rims on from danscreations . They look great.
I snapped a few pics (I am not very good with a camera) but here they are.

itsyounotme 10-19-2007, 01:28 PM  Very nice. Do you plan to lower it?
madpb 10-19-2007, 04:04 PM now that I see how it looks I think it would be a good idea.

jpauletteUSAF 11-01-2007, 12:49 PM Well, I had been thinking about getting that same setup, so now I guess I know what they'll look like. And now, I want them more. :)
john08xb 11-03-2007, 02:07 AM Why are you guys staggering the wheel sizes?
uberspeed 11-03-2007, 02:37 AM Make them sit more flush.
jelder11 11-08-2007, 02:07 AM So what is in this picture is a 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 in the rear and your wheels are 18x8 and 18x9 what drop springs did you use
madpb 11-08-2007, 11:33 PM your correct on the tire sizes. The rims are 18x8.5 and the rears are 18x9.5 Stock springs.
jelder11 11-09-2007, 12:17 AM What springs do you plan to use.. And when you lower it is it fender flush going to hit the fender wel
madpb 11-25-2007, 11:20 PM I just ordered the tanabe's (DF) the one with the greater drop.
(1.7 front and 2.1 back) and I order the front and back Hotchkis sway bars.
Should look good and handle well too.

18x8.5 and 18x9.5 45 offset....tanabe df dropped 225-40-18 235-40-18 rears
madpb 12-18-2007, 11:16 PM I just now installed new Hotchkis front and rear sway bars and they really do work very well. I am impressed at how well they improve the cornering and handling.
Too bad my df tanabe's are delayed until January.
madpb 12-20-2007, 04:07 AM These new sway bars are great. I can now say that my xB now handles much better on the highway. No more swaying in the wind when I pass a semi and it feels like sports car like handling. I just thought these boxy cars were sloppy and top heavy and I was going to have to live with it. Not anymore. This is by far the best bang for the buck.
