TheDanger 10-22-2004, 10:55 AM well if you bought the projector headlights you could make your own. I saw a DIY on the net somewhere to show you how to make them with LEDs.
Snoodge 10-23-2004, 06:08 AM does anybody make projector headlamp replacements for the xB yet?
Infiz 10-23-2004, 06:15 AM In the next month or 2 we will have projector headlamps available with angle eyes (halos). They are going to be the same ones currently available w/ hte LED turn signals, or very similar, with the halos.
I'll post pics/prices as soon as they are available.

Steve (bBist) made his own set. He has been running them for over a month now. He modified the TYC ones he had and added angel eyes from another application. It looks real good.

OrAnGeBoX 11-06-2004, 07:48 PM how much?
hotbox05 11-06-2004, 10:08 PM looks decent but seems like too much money for such a trivial overdone mod. in my opinion

Are there any pictures??? I'd definite be interested in a black housing assembly
k4kas 11-07-2004, 05:56 AM Most of the ones you see the people have retroed themselves.
There are a few companies out there that can do it for you.
Some info on this site.

both have angeleyes and one is black housing, one is chrome. Should be availible in about 2 months.
windowtint 11-16-2004, 07:23 PM looks good - would look better if they'd quit trying to put the triangular LED assembly above the lenses.
KevinxB 11-16-2004, 07:42 PM looks good - would look better if they'd quit trying to put the triangular LED assembly above the lenses.
Yeah, what purpose does that serve anyway? Does it flash with the turn signals or is it just a(nother) marker?

However you want to wire them up.

I'm gonna snag the black one when Denny is distracted the next time I head down to SoCal.
KevinxB 11-17-2004, 01:38 AM Hmm....which should I choose? I think I'll go with the black.
Do lights like this usually have some kind or harness or adapter to integrate the separate high beam? Or is wiring that left up to the buyer as well?
I don't think I'd want that top marker flashing. With the regular turn signal (marker), low beam, angel eyes, and that upper marker on...that would be a very busy set of lights.
Are there angel eyes just around the low beam or are they around the high too?
DenZinz 11-17-2004, 01:44 AM The angel eyes are only around the low beam. The set that I had was only a sample so not all the wiring was there. It is said that everything will be plug and play.
Here is another pic ;)

the LEDs look stupid... i want a set that looks like the ranger rover projectors....
Mr_scion 11-23-2004, 05:42 PM will the projectors us the same factory size blub b/c i have a hid kit ?
DenZinz 11-23-2004, 05:54 PM not sure on all the details of the headlights yet. It was suppose to be designed with an h4 bulb and not an h3 like other projectors.
its_ikon 11-24-2004, 03:01 AM i can't wait for these. they look nice and will be a great addition to my xB
aireck 11-25-2004, 01:03 AM bump for more info on these!!
E_Money 11-25-2004, 03:21 AM Any prices yet? I may be interested depending on the price.
its going to use an h4 bulb but be seperate beams? why not just use an h7 bulb as your lows and a 9006 as your highs or somethign along those lines. as for the projectors what kind of projector is going to be used. it almost looks as if those are the same projectors that are used in every aftermarket projector headlights. which happens to be an h3 bulb type. let us know what kind of bulb will be used witht he projector. i'm not very fond of using fog lights as driving lights.

well the problem is ... that ALL the aftermarket companies use the cheap crappy fog light projectors because they are cheap
you honestly think the people who make the headlights care one bit about how good the lighting is ?? ... nope ... all they care about is making a headlight everyone wants at the cheapest cost...
you are going to be hard pressed to find a GOOD SET of projectors in a aftermarket headlight
thats why i went with an HID projector retro... not only do i have good lighting .. but i dont have run of the mill headlights... wont see any other xb in the world with my lights ;) ..... its nice to be unique ... tho at a high cost :( .. thats the only crappy part
you dont have high beams. therefor your headlights will not pass va state inspections.
Soon2BxB 12-01-2004, 02:27 PM you dont have high beams. therefor your headlights will not pass va state inspections.
i dont have high beams because i CHOSE a projector that didnt have high beam capability .. there are plenty of Bi-XENON projectors out there .. but i chose the projector i have for its lighting capabilities
and i am in the works of high beams right now .. so shortly that wont be an issue either
nice drawing btw :)
i wasnt saying anything but that you dont have high beams. i'd much rather have a non projector high beam anyway.
DenZinz 12-02-2004, 03:27 PM Is there a such thing as a high beam projector? Wouldnt it be a brigter beam rather then a high beam?
KevinxB 12-02-2004, 04:08 PM Yeah there is DenZinz. New STS headlight:
http://www.cadillac.com/images/models/sts/gallery/photoExt11_big.jpg
I don't think projectors are necesarily brighter. They can control the light output better, provided that they are well-made.
DenZinz 12-02-2004, 04:20 PM ok..i can see that work if they have differnt cut off levels.
150dBxB 12-05-2004, 07:44 PM these out yet or what nukkas?

DenZinz 12-07-2004, 06:27 AM ill find out.
DenZinz 12-08-2004, 05:40 PM It estimated roughly at 300-350 retail (guestimate). The production piece should have an 9005 bulb in it.
DenZinz 01-23-2005, 09:16 PM The headlights are in. Im suppose to have my set sometime this week, ill let you know more info as soon as I get them.
