my 07 tc makes a weird ticking noise from under the hood. im not sure if its just noisy fuel injection or valves or a pulley or what. does anybody elses make this noise?

 

While at idle you can hear a tick, it is normal and I believe it is the spark plugs firing....

 

i just installed a set of headers and obveasly EVERY noise is going to freak you out, but i had the same thing happen to me, if it was in intervoles of like 10/15 sec check to see if you had your ac on, i did, and when i turned it off it stopped..

 

it's a bomb under the hood!!!!!

 

I know you misspelled "obveasley" (obviously) but WTF is "intervoles"?

could be belt, alternator, pulley....

Listen for it from a certain area

 

Mine ticks too........every Toyota i ever had ticked.......who would of thought after all these years they never changed it........

 

I still say it's a bomb!

 

what you hear is the VVTI..... all toyotas that have it will "tick"


Or maybe it is a bomb.... damn Al Qaeda.
