I am contimplating the purchase of a new tC and curious as to how much people are actually paying for it, with which options, and in what area.

 

I paid 16,495 + tax (6%)

I didnt get any options because.....

A. Wanted to keep the payment down
B. Large negative equity from my trade in (stupid Jetta)
C. I fiqure I would go aftermarket and not pay up for the dealer price on stuff.
(for example I paid 75.00 for floor mats instead of 145.00 if I would have got them with the car.)
D. I was really not a fan of some of the parts they offer, especially the audio equipment.

I do have to say that I like the fact that the dealer doesnt have a choice but to sell the car at a particular price. I would really advise getting a tC. I don't know your situation but if you are young then this is a perfect car. Why? Inexpensive, new!, fairly quick out of the box, and nice trim.
