Drove thru a puddle.

Dealer says they wont cover it due to outside forces causing the damage.
Kinda upset

That sucks man, they are probably right about the whole warranty not covering it though. It's like if you were to hit a curb when parking. I think it's an insurance company thing but I could be WAY off on this. Someone let me know :? . Does that peice affect the rear bumper? Does it cause it to sag or anything now?

Mine fell off, after much _____ing the dealership finally replaced it all. Do a few searches, there are alot of people that have had this problem, possibly enough to say the mounting is weak(it's 2 plastic arms held on with one bolt each).

Yeah when i install my exhaust I noticed how paper thin those lips mounts on. I imagine in the future this will be an issue with the rear end, even without hitting anything.

time for a kit :wink:

seriously, just get some JB weld and be done with it. is it worth the fight?

Same thing happen to me after hitting a retread on the freeway. I ended up making new ones out of aluminum strap.
