Default 2nd Gen New Rear Bumper Applique

I just got the new Rear Bumper Applique put on today. Its much like the first gen but the word SCION cut on of it.

EDIT:
I'm getting the center of the O put on, the dealer forgot to add it.

cool they must have fixed them they were recalled . I orderd one for my box (gen1) but they called me a week after I orderd it and said they were recalled. I helped put my dads on his 08xb and i ran over to myn first to see if it would fit and it fit good It looks better than the old one.

yeah I got mine 3 weeks ago, but didnt want to post it, cause I am not all that impressed with it. I bought it in June with my car & had to wait 2 months & then got this... I was expecting a thicker one with ribs like the piece in front of it.. oh well......... live & let live... jh

The other ones were recalled? because I have one for the xB2 that doesn't look like that... And the texture is different... Any links to this recall and why it was recalled?

I ordered one 3weeks ago for the wife's 08 XB,and the dealer called in 3 days to tell me they were stopping shipment of them, because the adhesive used failed, and were recalling all appliques for the 08 XB's until a new adhesive can be found. That's what I have been told ??

That isn't bad looking, but after seeing it, I think if I went that route I would just use a piece of the 3M clear protection film.

they told me the same thing. Adhesive is not as good so they are looking for a new company to produce them.

That looks like grip tape...? I was thinking about going to my local skate shop and getting some grip tape for this application last week...hmmm... My Labrador can jump all the way inside without clawing the rear bumper, but I had to lower the box with the Tanabe DF210's so the Pug could get in with one attempt

I just don't want the rear bumper all scratched up...yet.

Dam! That VW guy has some artistic skillz...If I tried that it would end up looking worse than a work of art done by a preschooler finger painting while picking his nose...
