Default Who makes the stock wheels.

I was wondering who supplies the stock wheels for the tC or the manufacturer. A lot of people has asked me and I don't know who makes them.

I read some where that they are made by Enkei. This would not surprise me as the stock wheels on the the Celica are made by Enkei and it also has their symbol on it.

Enkei makes the 7 spoke upgrade wheels.

Yah they are Racing Hart. And I am not sure, but for 17" wheels with the tires they are actually very light!! Comparibled to the $650 a wheel Blitz Technospeeds I have on my MR2. So they are pretty nice. I don't know how strong they are though. My Blitz wheels are 3 peice and very strong.

Racing Harts and Enkeis and a number of other well-known and expensive wheels all come out of the same factory in Japan. There aren't hundreds of wheel factories there, churning out all the brands you know, there are only a handful of factories and all the Japanese wheels come from them.

So it would not surprise me if the stock wheels, the 18" Enkeis and 19" Racing Harts all come from the same facility, regardless of what name is on them.

Stock wheel + tire is about 42lbs. Since the tire is in the 21-22lbs range it's safe to assume that the wheel is about 20lbs. Not that light, IMHO.

There are great 15lbs Team Dynamics 17s for $150/piece, or 5zigens that are 15.5lbs, and are an inch wider than our 17s.

Good thing is that with 165 ft.lbs of torque 20lbs or 15lbs wheel does not make that much difference.
