Default TERRIBLE experience with 318 tC

bought a cell phone from him on 9/18/07 paid on 9/18/07.

PM from him on 9/18/07 "english, will ship tommorrow sir. thanks"

sent PM on 9/24/07 asking if shipped and for a tracking #

PM from him on 9/25/07 "Yes sir, should be there thrusday! Ill provide tracking in the morning cause its in my office. Thanks again1"

sent PM on 9/26/07 requesting tracking # because he never sent it to me in the morning, like he said he would.

PM from him on 9/27/07 "damn I forgot the tracking sorry, i been stupid busy latley, remind me again tommorrow if u dont hear from me earlier in the afternoon thanks"

package shows up on 9/27/07 WAS SHIPPED NEXT DAY AIR!!! which explains why he never gave me a tracking number, cause there wasnt one. i hate being lied to.

so i open up the box, and theres no data cable (which was listed in his ad). sent PM to him on 9/28 or 29/07, telling him that the data cable was not there.

PM from him on 10/02/07 "Just searched and found the data cable sorry about that let me ship it out to you today. Thanks!"

well, thats the last time i heard from him. he hasnt responded to any of my PM's, yet he has logged in on the site.

i am sick and freakin tired of sellers on this site taking your money and BSing you about whn they shipped your item. i pay quick, you ship asap. its not that F'n hard. i dont care about how "busy" someone says that they are, thats no excuse. then you get the jackasses who blame it on their wife shipping it to the wrong address. 3 out of the last 4 times ive purchased something from fellow SL members, its been a cluster f*ck. this kind of crap dosent happen with local people, because you can meet them face to face. sellers who do this on SL SUCK!!! you can all kiss my ___

wow, thats a shame, but one would think you would learn the first, second or third time around. bit of a quagmire to buy stuff online from people. that is why i tend to only order from we established credible sites. anyway, 318_tc is usually makes it right in the end. i'm sure it will work out.

i highly doubt that he will make it right. people on this site who screw other members sould realize that the scion community is smaller than they think. one day you might run into someone who you screwed, then what you gonna do?

You will have ur cable tommorrow on ur door step. You got the phone in a timely manner, I forgot about the usb cab;le after I said id ship it. Sorry I've been terribly busy with this car. I didn't actually rip you off for anything though. Sorry for the delay this is my mistake. Thanks

wow i would have never thought to hear a little thing like this get blown out of proportion. yes noones perfect and **** happens. if someones busy withs somethin it takes precedent over a usb cable sorry, peoples personal lives are important to themselves i personally wouldnt freak out about somethin like this and if a couple weeks or so pass buy and you dont hear anything from him then start flippin a wig, but some people dont live on this site like others and cant really respond in a manner thats timely to you. its life. the world doesnt revolve around 1 person. eveyone has things they ahve to do in their busy lives. i know i have been screwed twice (only totalling 130 bucks but to me thats a lot. and i have hiimshon and recliner 15 to thank for that. THSOE people are horribly to do business with)

so... Let me get this straight. The phone was supposed to actually ship on the
19th by I assume UPS ground??? if that is the case, it takes 7 days which would make an actual arrival date of the 26th. You received it the 27th as he made a mistake and paid extra and shipped it overnight to make things right... So your phone arrived a day late and your running a guys name through the mud?

The cable frustration can be understood and hope that works out.

Overall I think this was blown WAY out of scope compared to what it actually is, a simple "I am frustrated as I cannot contact this seller now is all that is required.

This is a joke. If someone's too busy to remember to ship out everything someone else paid for, they shouldn't be selling things. Especially after over a month has passed. And when I get a PM it alerts my personal email, so you don't have to "live on this site" to know when someone's trying to get in touch.

Though it's nice that the seller accepted he made a mistake.

this is all im going to say about this.

318tC, if stuff came up and your too busy to take the time to ship the cable, you should have told me. you said you were going to ship it the next day. when you didnt ship it that next day, would it have been to hard to blow me in a PM letting me know? you had time to log in and make posts but no time to keep me informed of what was going on? this is the first ive heard from you since 10/02.its been almost a month, how am i supposed to react to that?

its not the point of when i would have got the phone, or when i did recieve it. i was told that the phone WAS shipped and he had a tracking number, when if fact both were lies. do you like being lied to? i know i dont. he should have just said that he had not shipped it yet, instead of giving me the runaround on the tracking number. you can never go wrong with the truth

are you kidding me?? when someone pays you for something that you are selling, you MAKE time to ship it. its been almost a month since ive heard from him.

I guess im the only one who has a job that works from 7am to 7pm when all the ups stores close lol.

Thats why I tell people I may not be able to ship ASAP due to my work schedule...

you have a warped sense of reality. he said he was busy maybe perhaps to be too busy to constantly check his friggen pms.

heres my point... ready for it... PEOPLE DONT ALWAYS HAVE THE TIME TO GO ON SCIONLIFE.COM TO CHECK TO SEE IF YOU PMED THEM. ok.

look at it this way. he was busy... **** i forgot to send this out, ill do it tomorrow and ill overnight it. ok done. you got what you wanted but whoops he forgot the cable. **** happens. maybe he didnt realize it and thought it was in there and boom no complaints. he doesnt go on scionlife in a couple days so he doesnt think theirs a problem, then when he comes back oh look i have a pm. oh **** i forgot the cable. ill send that out tomorrow.

jesus christ man, you act like the god damn sky is falling. lol. he didnt steal anything from you, you got what you wanted, yes it wasnt in the time frame you had in mind, but stfu you have what you paid for correct? ****

its not about any of this.. it seems it about a guy who wants self satisfaction.. i deal with customers like this all day.. 38 years old.. im quite suprised your making a big deal about this.. has nothing ever come up in your life that you have no time to do anything you want? he went way out of his way, after he realized he messed up, and instead of accepting it.. you still wanted your damn self satisfaction..

this guy acts like a nuke just went off in his back yard. i havent purchased anything from 318 but i know hes a good guy. very helpful on the forum and i find it extremely hard to belive with how much effort he has made to help people on this forum he would screw someone over because of a friggen cell phone

318 if you ever sell anything that catches my eye, i wont hessitate to buy it. dont let this thread get you down, its a joke.

I understand both sides in this case, however I do have to agree with HR_Guy. What takes predesence over somebody's life for 30 DAYS that he can't send out a cable that was PAID IN FULL?? It doesn't take that long to box up a cable and ship it out. I can see why the buyer is upset. It's all based on principle.

I do commend the seller for...

1. Admitting he made a mistake...
2. And shipping products out with overnight delivery.

Not many people ship overnight. Yes, I have seen worse buyer/seller experiences here. I'm just glad this one can actually get resolved.
