Will it go in with the mounting brackets that came with the speakers? or do I need to custom fab. a mounting bracket like the one pictured above? Is 6 1/2" too big? ScionDave 06-11-2008, 03:42 AM i was gonna buy some 6½" speakers too... so im gonna watch this. tweetertc 06-11-2008, 04:39 AM you best off just making them yourself out of MDF... its really not all that complicated... and yes... if you make the baffle right... you can get 6 1/2 's in the rear... Number2 06-11-2008, 06:20 AM I just used the bracket that came with the speakers (6-1/2" coax) (for the rear) and made new holes in the frame with self-tapping screws. I documented it with pics and will hopefully have it up in the next couple of days. As for the fronts,,check out elemental design. Those brackets went in perfectly in the front. gambitx78 06-11-2008, 07:58 AM i bought mine here. http://cgi.ebay.com/6-6-5-Front-or-Rear-Speaker-Adapter-Scion-xA-xB-tC_W0QQitemZ310057850378QQihZ021QQcategoryZ50552QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |
