View Full Version : New Mod (Front Face Finisher)
Opr8r 01-02-2004, 08:50 AM This prototype is a copy of the Topline front face finisher. Teddy and I fabricated this over the last few nights. (And thanks John for your fine-tuning!!!) :D
The front face finisher is one piece that consists of a partial grille cover and eyelids. It also features a slot in the center to accomodate the bB badge.

Yes, what is it made of and where do we sign up :) BTW, how thick is it?
Nicely done.
Opr8r 01-02-2004, 05:29 PM Thanks guys. Haven't thought about selling them (we've only made 2 so far) although I suppose that could be a possibility. We basically copied the Topline FFF cause we didn't want to wait on an overseas order.
It would look a lot better with a proper OEM paint job.
Peace,
m@

What did you make this out of? I want to do something similar, except that I want to smooth out the entire "grille."

Munch 01-03-2004, 08:39 PM Nice! 8)
Opr8r 01-03-2004, 11:35 PM Hey guys.
Thanks for all the great feedback. :D The FFF was fabricated out of crystalite acrylic material. (1/8" in thickness). It's pretty durable - and as you can see, it fits the contour of the front-end quite nicely.
We'll definitely be making more (possibly next week.) I'm not sure how much more, but we'll keep you up-to-date!
Peace,
m@ (aka Opr8r)
projxB 01-04-2004, 06:03 PM Heres tha real deal. nice work man.

Great! Where can you get this crystalite material?
Docsnuff 01-04-2004, 10:14 PM Great! Where can you get this crystalite material?
I think Crystal Lite can be found at your nearest grocer, in the soda and tea isle. The best flavor is the lemonade!!!

Opr8r 01-05-2004, 09:00 PM Wrap it in carbon :D
That would look good against a carbon fiber hood.

i would like to try and pull it off with metal so that its flush and there are less gaps and lines. not to detract from what you did at all!!

dzcustom 03-04-2004, 03:54 AM Clean and well done. You guys take perfection to a new level. I agree with everyone about trying to selling the product. Keep on inspiring us with your passion. 8)

It attaches with double-sided foam tape. You even can mount it higher for less gap if you want. :) You can get paint from Toyota.
