Sorry in advance if this has been answered before. I searched but found nothing that satisfied me. Also, I'm not too keen on this subject.

I've wanted to get angel eyes...demon eyes... halos. whatever you wanna call them on my '08 tc, so i looked for ways to get them, but only found for the 07 and below. I could just get some other headlights, like Anzos, but i'd rather keep my projectors if I could have angel eyes put in.

i was thinking of buying the 08 headlights for my 06...they look like they are exact same fit just different size lamps...anyone know if that would work or not...or to add an hid kit to the 08 projectors?

Yea they are exactly the same except for the low beam. It is an h11 not 9006 so you will have to splice in a h11 connector to your factory wiring. Other than that you should be good to go. I got mine from trdsparks for $430 shipped which is probaly the best deal you are goin to find.

I do haveto agree with all of you that umnitza customer service does leave alot to be desired.

I have some eyes from them that are 16 months old and now one of the rings need to be replaced.

Means taking them all apart again for 1 rings and on top of it they really dont like to light up when it is cold here in Chicago.

They will do me a favor and send me a new one for $10.00 process and handling fee, but then they want me to send back the old one. For what? do they think I am sacamming them for a free ring? Like I really want to take these apart again for one ring.

It's one of those love hate things with these eyes.

I Just want to make sure you will be able to see them on even when the projetors are on. I know if you look at them straight on then you probably wont but with the projetors I hope you will be able to see the rings from the side.

Like I said above I am not in a rush to put them on so taking time is no problem.

i know you will be able to see at least 2 of them, don't know bout when the headlight is on... I know when mine went on, it drowned out the light of the halo.. whenever you want me to start on them when you get them, we can meet somewhere so you can drop them off for me so i can get started on them.. I'll give you any color you like.

another thing i was thinking and my friend asked bout it is that i have dual red/blue leds, i was thinking of wiring one of them to flash red when the turn signal bulb goes on, would be a sweet thing to figure out how to do.

Hawgs... would need the headlamps for bout 2 weeks or so, so i can properly make the halos and shape them. Don't know how long you can be without them.

wagen... still going to figure out how to hide wires with the corner lite as well as the other too another day... with white, your probably better of wiring them to the parking light.. any other color we can hook to a switch

Gimme-- No price as of yet till i have a final product.. but it'll be more than what i charge for the latter halos (100 per kit). not much more, but once i get it done, i will figure out based on how long it takes me to finish a kit, and how much product i use. Keep watching as the progress goes.. will work on more probably friday or saturday.

From what I know, Ragingbull is waiting for some time to get back on these. He is going to do a mock up with the rings on them to see if we are going to go with the 2 rings or 3. Hope to see some pictures soon.

i really don't have alot of time to sit down and crank it out in a day, So don't think that i bailed the whole project guys, i do have a job that takes up half my day.

Yes it is, and again thank you for the head start.

Thos are just taped on so we can see the 3 eyes. It is hard to see, but doing the ring on the left really adds some depth to all of this since the other 2 are pretty flush.

The led's seem to be mixed up so I am not sure what colors match since we have 2 different types.

Was thinking about going whiter, but am not sure about led's. I have seen some ultra bright led's (18,000 mcd) out on the net, but not sure how this mcd stuff works. I would assume the higher the mcd the brighter the look.

I have already made the 3 rings for the other light so all I ned is some led's and wire them up.

Also, was thinking about doing something with the orange corner light. Can these be tinted and will they still be functional?

They are paintable, you would only need a very thin even coat to cover the acrylic and then you would be able to get a different color rod..


I'll check to see what white leds, i do have but you can always order pre-wired leds from oznium, but you somewhat correct with the MCD, but with white, it also coinsides with the color level.. i.e. yellowish tint.. blueish tint.. i've seen the oznium ones, and those are really super bright white color.

I see oznium white led's are 8000 mcd, but they dont list anything as far as color goes with a 30degree veiwing angle.

Again, I have seen 18000 mcd with 15 degree veiwing angle.

Well, just ordered up some 30,000 mcd with 20 degree veiwing angle super bright white. Interesting how they will look being 30k and what color temp they will look. Will have to post some new pics once i get them and pop them into the rings.

Oh, and personally I didn't turn on the Halo rings on my car. I bought the lamps for the projector. Looks like a 5 Series BMW really

god I wish someone would mainstream halos... i really want these...

Now I need to decide if I want to go with hid's or just get an adaptor harness.

Write ups. They are out there, but the problem is finding something in the diameter of the ring you need to bend the tube around. To get them for the Tc took a good part of a day with learning everything. Gap size, ring size, template for rings, depth of the cuts, drilling out ends for led's without breaking them, what mcd led's to buy, etc .... None of the write ups tell you any of those things.

All I can say is if ayou want to do them yourself, you will need to give time and effort in order to figure out how to do all the steps.

^I think that's why most folks are willing to PAY someone to do it...I don't mind paying for quality work and peace of mind knowing that said person did their homework before attempting this...

Maybe me and Wagen can work something out.. time is the factor for me to actually do these.. I made the rings for wagen, i have the template, so maybe something will come of this..

The only thing in question is the quality of the led's. That's about the only thing you would have to limit any warranty to. Other then that I feel they are great queality.

I used to make them for the 05-07 headlights, still have a bunch of rings laying around needing LED's.. i used to only offer very limited warreny, hell, i installed some HID's in a friends car, and for some odd reason once the HID's turned on, it spiked the voltage and the LED's went out on the Halos. Never the less, i am replacing them for her only because of close friend, but otherwise i would say sorry to others, LEDs are touchy P.O.S.'s but are still more reliable than cathodes.

I removed pictures of my 08 Tc showing the rings in this thread. Just did not want to confuse the rings that I made with the rings Rage makes. Rage makes an excellant product and it should not be misrepresented with the pictures that I had displayed.

The attention you will get from rings/eyes will be worth all the time invested.

I think pieces are cut different...too much to fit them together, I think.

actually i think you can.. the headlight housings are identical as well as the screws that hold the clear housing to the back are in the same place, so i am pretty sure you can swap the Fugly boob for the normal clear housing.
