dasiknes803 05-29-2008, 03:55 PM Heres the thing we have to run it at night. Reason is that it too much traffic during the day to even go fast. So I will have to schedule this around like at 10pm.
Greg you did not run highland. And you didnt tell me.

PakanaHerruus 05-29-2008, 04:56 PM could always do Decker Cyn. then cruise PCH afterwards. maybe make a stop at Neptunes Net for some good eats.
Angry_Celi_Guy 05-29-2008, 05:07 PM we need to make a giant meet to run these canyons for a week.

jsigone 05-29-2008, 05:18 PM HVR, Del Luz, Palomar and Mesa Grande is where you'll see my mazdaspeed miata
dasiknes803 05-29-2008, 05:31 PM I love palomar! Such a awsome cruise!
I actually live across the street from Highland. i can run it every day if i want.
Angry_Celi_Guy 05-29-2008, 05:37 PM HVR, Del Luz, Palomar and Mesa Grande is where you'll see my mazdaspeed miata
is that you on youtube that has a bunch of vids of a speed miata in the canyons?
jsigone 05-29-2008, 05:52 PM nah that's some crazy nut driving up Lil GMR. I have the same car though and yes it DOES handle very well. I'm puttin about 190ish to the wheels, with Azenis rubber on the corners. The mazdaspeeds come with bilstin race shocks, upgraded sways, bigger brakes and extra frame reinforcement goodies to handle the extra power. Also the entire drive train is shot n pin'd, tranny, drive shaft and rear dif. Has a torson LSD and does a GREAT job back there. Its not a straight line car, but more of a 0-100 car and built for the turns.
SuShIxFiSh 05-29-2008, 06:08 PM these are a few vids from gms backside and frontside

dasiknes803 05-29-2008, 11:15 PM Lets go buddy make sure you have enough money for a tow truck!
jsigone 05-29-2008, 11:18 PM what do you guys have done to your suspension?
dasiknes803 05-29-2008, 11:27 PM Springs, progress rear sway, falken tires, Porterfield brake pads. What else do you need?
jsigone 05-29-2008, 11:35 PM was just wondering what your setup was. Sound like you have some good stuff under there. I've never gone up HVR in FWD, only in the miata and my S13 when I had it.
dasiknes803 05-30-2008, 12:50 AM Im fast but not that fast. I try to be safe. I think we might run tonight. But lil Alex (browndogg) is boosted.
jsigone 05-30-2008, 02:39 AM I might be up for a lil run tonight
Mightygnu 05-30-2008, 03:58 AM Tickets await you at GMR/Azusa!
This whole week and last week there has been police sitting everywhere at GMR/Azusa. The EVO family has not been going up there because everyone has been getting REF tickets, just wanted to let you guys know.

hookedonlucy 06-04-2008, 07:35 AM the only one i know is

Losirus 06-04-2008, 10:39 AM hmm..whats the diff between a canyon road and a mountain road? im guessing its twisty but level?
Angry_Celi_Guy 06-04-2008, 03:25 PM location, ex. palomar is a mountain. ortega is a mix of both depending when/where u start and stop.

dasiknes803 08-06-2008, 02:25 PM Hows those canyons in NC Toan?
AlanW 12-03-2008, 02:07 AM Sorry to bring up an old thread but GMR has been pretty quiet lately. Great for some night canyon runs, but I've heard residents living in the area sometimes call the cops if they hear loud exhausts. But GMR is all about handling anyways, so that turbo won't help much.
j0hnBlaze 12-03-2008, 02:28 AM watching*

dasiknes803 12-03-2008, 03:32 AM Me and some other guys have been running Palamar Mountain. If anyone is interested let me know.

I'm not too familiar with the surrounding area but I go up where GMR starts in Glendora. I guess that's Azusa side. The first section is pretty challenging even going at around 30-40. The first time I went up there, I underestimated the first turn and it almost turned ugly but I saved it and kept going.
Sciontistical_One 12-13-2008, 07:00 AM There's always Carbon Canyon... Brea/Yorba Linda in O.C.

Not EVERYTHING has burned down, so it's still a decent drive...

SuShIxFiSh 12-15-2008, 06:23 PM ^ i new all those guys the and the guy in the video i used to go to hardcore party's and meet up with him he know has a bike and hes sick at that 2
OG_XB 12-15-2008, 10:05 PM in gmr sundays that ____ is UBER packed with motorcycles! thursday nights is a good night to go!!!!
bB384 12-20-2008, 06:44 PM Why don't we organize a canyon run sometime? Not necessairly to race at night, but a cruise in the daytime? Maybe meet up somewhere, then cruise up and hang out up at the top? My suggestion would be meet up somewhere and cruise up Angeles Crest and chill at the parking lot at base of Mt. Wilson? This would defenitely have to be after the weather clears up, because as I type this I'm sure there's still snow at Mt. Wilson.
EAmon 12-25-2008, 06:01 PM has anybody been on the 2?
i would imagine it would be full of snow right now
but it looks like a fun road
long
but fun
