Default Installation Prices for TRD Mods?

Hi, I'm a noob to the forum. I ordered my tC earlier this week and I'm thinking about getting some of the TRD extras. Do you guys install the parts yourselves, take it to a shop, or take it back to the dealer to install? How much does it cost to get them installed at the dealer? The 2 main things I'd like to get are the TRD springs and shock sets. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try using the "Search" feature on the upper left. Search for "TRD installation", check "Search for all terms" and search only in the tC forum. You'll get a bunch of info. Here are a few threads to look at to start:

You can negotiate the cost of installation with your dealer. Call up and see how much they tell you, then go from there. I had my springs dealer-installed and they cost $375 including the springs. I'm willing to pay more for something like that to keep the warranty intact. For all my other accessories, I've installed them myself.

I was down at a dealership to recoup one of my floating deposits for a tc, and on a finance manager's erasable board, it wrote:

" Feel free to ask about our labor charges

125/hr <and then two smiley faces hand drawn in GREEN next to it> "

from what i've read on this forum, it's in and around here give $20-40/hr at dealerships.

$60-80/hr is pretty normal around here for normal dealers and garages. Labor for your luxury or performance car can be easily twice that
