Default Avic D3 dvd audio question...

when i listen to a cd or my ipod my d3 never has a need to go over 20 unless im trying to bump for a show or something, but when i watch a dvd it has to be at 36 for the sound to equal a cd/ipod at 20.

anyone know why or a way i can change it?

it is probably the bitrate of your video. some videos dont equal the bitrate of a song.

Thats completly normal. If you notice at home, if your watching TV, lets say comcast cable or somthing, and your watching a show. I run mine at vol 15 for my television. When I pop in a DVD i need to raise to about 30.

DVD's are much different then sound quality MP3 files you know?

Thats completly normal, might be a bit of an inconvenience, but thats how it is.

you have tweeters?

i guess it would just matter what the formating of the data on your dvd or cd is. bitrate, encoding, codecs, etc., all sways the quality and level of adjustment youll have to do to your headunit to get the quality you want
