I'm researching new tires and I've used the tire calculator for these new sizes. But, I'd like to hear about fitment on a stock Xb. I'd like to drop with H-Techs...maybe S-Techs in the futrue, so would these sizes rub with a 1" to 1.7" drop?

185/70R15
195/65R15
205/60R15

Also, I'll assume that the higher sidewalls on the first two should give a more comfortable ride due to more rubber?

Can the dealer reprogram the speedo for new tire sizes? I have a programmer for my truck for when I switch tires in the winter, but I'm new to the Xb and not sure what methods are available.

Thanks a bunch.

shouldnt rub at all with that drop except at full lock but probably not even then.

yeah a more comfortable ride should be the result but that depends on the tire.

and no from what i've been told the dealer can not change the speeds to compensate the tires. not 100% sure tho

I don't think that this size is made. You can get a few 185/75s, but only in light truck styles.

I'd love to find 70 or 75 series tires in the stock width, but they don't seem to be made. You can get them in 14s, though. Perhaps a wheel swap with an Echo owner?

Actually those tire sizes I listed are all available. That's why I'm now going to decide between those sizes.

Who makes the 185/70 size?

BF Goodrich makes them.

I'd be careful about getting a tire size that's made by only a few brands of manufacturers...if you ever get a flat the odds of getting the same size may be slim, and then you'll be rolling on different sizes forcing you to buy more tires to match...
