Default HOLY SH*T - boy have i got a story for you guys

so i was drivin the xb back to my apartment just now. my parkin spot is conveniently located next to the playground for the elementary school next door. so anyways i was just about to pull into my parkin spot when i heard a really loud thud. i instantly stopped the box and got out as i always do. as you all know when you hear something out of the norm you have to get out and check it out because this car is my baby. i didnt find anything upon first inspection so i got back in and pulled into my parking spot to get out of the way..

now i was sure that something hit my car. So i starting looking everywhere, mostly on the drivers side because that side was facing the playground and thats where i heard the noice from. sure enough i found 3 deep *beep* *beep* dents/scratches right on my drivers side door. along with some brown clay/dust. sure enough, brown clay, the same color as the *beep* on their playground... so now im really ____ed off. trying to figure out what the *beep* to do, i drive over to the school, go in and talk to the principal. now this *beep*........got i want to strangle her. she says that because i didnt see who threw it, there is nothing she can do... "i cant acuse the entire 3rd grade of it" she says. "if you are on the highway and a rock hits your car its noeones fault" well this is true...but my situation is different. this car is my baby, ive only had her for 3 months, and some bastard 3rd grader throws a rock at my girl and gets off scott free.

excuse my language, this just happened, im ____ed, and now im going to sit here and cry...

I'd tell the principal. But I wouldn't expect any kind of reembursment. But the principal would hopefully talk to the kids and explain that it was wrong blah blah blah. Just make sure not to park close to the school for a while, the kids might retaliate.

Wow...that sucks. Sorry that happened. I'm always very paranoid when it comes to kids around my vehicles. When my wife and I were first married, we went out and got her a brand-new car. We had it less than 24 hours when some kid crashed his bike into the side of it while it was parked out front. He put a big gash in the front fender. I wanted to kill him (after I made sure he wasn't hurt from the crash). His dad paid to have it fixed, but still....

Man that sucks! Did you file a police report? Throwing objects at moving vehicles is not cool!! Somebody could have been injured. Kids doing that crap from overpasses has killed people! I'd definately notify the police department and a send a nasty letter to the School Board.

I don't get it. Is it just the boxes or is it nice cars in general? I've gotten pretty much all positive feedback, especially from the kids. They seem to really like it. Besides, being in OC most of the punk kids around here drive way more expensive cars than I do. I did get a comment from a woman at work. She thought my xB was ugly, and she drives an Aztek!! Talk about friggen U G L Y!!!!

Dude, your situation blows, but you should probably be more selective about where you park. Would you park your car in the ghetto? Same principal.
