So I started up my car this morning and was welcomed to some extra lights on my dash. I looked under the hood and found this:

Has anyone encountered this before? Or better yet, does anyone have a part # for that hose?

i believe its a standard 5/8 or 1/2 hose you could probably get it anywhere.. like your basic autoparts store.. i think thats just the pcv hose..

That is rigged up redneck like.
you have unmetered air entering your motor. You car is running lean, I would be willing to bet your fuel trim figures are 20+ on the positive side, and you DTC code is probably a P0172 or P0171.
Your car has a Mass Airflow Meter. There are two heated elements, one to measure intake temp the other measures airflow. That hose bypasses the MAF.
Do yourself a favor and pull that off and get the correct rubber part that connects your intake to the intake manifold. That will take care of you CEL.

That was a cropped photo, here's the whole thing (after I installed it over two years ago):

Every thing is fine, the lights never came back on. I never posted an update so I apologize for that. As for the hose, as you can see in the above photo, it's always been like that. There's no air escaping either as that hose fits over a metal nozzle.
that hose is a breather house the pvc valve hose is on the intake manifold

The lights came back on two days ago, so I brought it in to the dealer. While I was waiting for them to scan the codes, I searched around the forums and I found this thread (http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=149623). The code that came up was P0012, which meant they had to replace my camshaft gear per the TSB.
