Default Go with black...?

I am seriously tired of waiting for white. 3 freaking times when car came in every 2-3 weeks... or even 4... no white was included... this week or the next, like i said, a black and a flint mica coming in...

Maybe I should just go with black...

What do you guys think?

if you want your car to look dirty all the time, even after you wash it, then yes, get black....what i'm trying to say, dont get black, wait for white. you'll be alot happier.

I don't think that's a decision anyone can make for you. I have a black one that is always parked outside, and for what it's worth, it doesn't really "look" dirty, because of the sparkly stuff, except for when it rains. And then, pretty much all cars look dirty, except for the silver ones. Of course, it depends on how neurotic you are. At first, I was kind of obsessive about it wanting to look like I drove it out of a showroom. Then I just got realistic, and I realized that even if it isn't totally sparkling, it still looks good.

But, have you seen them all in person? I think one will just pull you, and that's the one you should get. Me, I hate any car in white, but I was torn between the black and the flint. When I saw the flint, I liked it, but I didn't quite get what all the fuss was about. I'm just a black car kind of person, I guess.

If you're a white car kind of person, wait for what you want. You don't want to be second guessing yourself on a purchase this major. I kind of think had you originally been torn between flint or black and went with one or the other, you'd have fewer regrets if you got whichever one was available, but if your heart was set on white, that's a pretty big difference.

i'm actually kind of in the same boat. i originally told the dealer that i wanted a flint mica, but with a 3-4 week wait... i'm opening it up to indigo ink pearl and black sand pearl too. i just need a new car ASAP and i don't have time to dilly-dally! anyway, my dealer sounds like he doesn't like my daily phone calls. :?

wait for the white if that's what you really really want. i mean, if you just settled for a different color other than white, then what was all the waiting for? at that point you were just wasting time if you were waiting for white and ended up getting a different color. in my opinion. wait for the color that you really want. because in the end, it will be well worth it. think about what makes you happy.

i waited 2 months for my car. and during that time i was offered.. super white, flint mica, azure pearl, black cherry... basically every color other than BSP. but you know what? it was worth it. and i'm extremely happy.

personally, I like white (easier to take care of versus a darker color - scratches, swirls) and if that is what I want then it is worth the wait.

IMO you should wait for the color that you really want, and don't settle for something that's just there...You'll appreciate it much more

agreed, wait for the color you want, unless you're just needing a car super bad. you can be get the flint mica or BSP, either way you can't go wrong. my last car was white, and yes, they may be easier to take care of, but white just looked very plain to me and i didn't want another white. i got my self a BSP and nothing looks hotter than a black car with shiney new rims and mirror tint. my 2 pesos...

Black sucks to maintain, but it is an incredibly rewarding color. If you clean, polish, and wax your car regularly, then the surface should be mirror-like. I love the the way the light reflects off the contours (or lack thereof) of the body panels.

On the other hand, white *almost* hides dirt. It hides light dust, but not dirt, brake dust, or exhaust gas fumes. It all depends on the color you want and how **** retentive you are about your paint.

Get the color you're in love with. The one thing you'll know from car shopping is that when you find the right car, you will fall in love with it. I shopped for about 2 years and test drove nearly 30 cars before I got my xB... and it wasn't on my shopping list either. It was one of those spontaneous, "whoa, that this is so weird... i want it. " kind of things

one of the whole points of buying a new car is so you can get the color you want. If you have to settle, you my as well just buy used and save yourself some loot. Or in six months when there are plenty of used ones available you'll be kicking yourself when a black one with 6K miles can be had for less than you still owe on your white one.

I always wanted a black car.

I bought one, and so did my wife (girlfriend at the time)

The car(s) looked clean the day I bought it

The next day, I wanted to wash it cause it looked dirty

I will never drive a black car again

My cars now are silver and grey

You cant go wrong with white or black. White is easier to maintain than black. It's your choice. Mine is black, but i dont mind having white either.

I couldn't imagine spending over $16,000 and not getting exactly what you want. If you want white, you should wait for white, or you will regret it. Have you tried going to diffent dealers? You can get on multiple lists.

It will look better in black than it does in white until 10 minutes after you drive away.

Get the white- there is no reason to pay full price for a color you do not want. That is part of the joy of buying a new car!

I had a black civic.. and it looks AWESOME when it's clean and waxed.. but in the winter? (in michigan?) it was always showing some dirt, after awhile just kind of give up the battle.. until spring.. but hey if you've never had a black car, get it.. then you can have the battle wounds like the rest of us that fought to keep our black colored cars clean! lol

oh and in the summer, it's not a joke.. the black will absorb the heat.. no joke.. extremely hot, definitely get a sunshade..
