Hi,
I'm looking for a good exhaust that is not too load, just a bit deeper than stock. I'm going to S/C eventually, so I want something that will be good with that. Does the TRD sound any different than stock?

Yes, the TRD exhaust IMO sounds and looks the best. Combine it with a custom 2.5" midpipe and you'll have a deep angry exhaust.

 

yeah, trd exhaust sounds awesome, but it does nothing. if performance doesn't matter to you, get trd exhaust, but there are other great sounding axelback exhausts like precision muffler, borla, magnaflow.

if you want a real performance one, get an s-pipe and s-pipe back exhaust like dezod.

Yes the TRD does sound nice i had it on my car for a long tme but just recently switched to the Megan Drift Spec Catback, The TRD with an intake sounds realllly nice deep low quiet tone with a little rumble

 

the TRD has a very nice sound... but like all axle backs for the tC the gains are very small... expect only 2-3whp over stock with the TRD

if your going for power its a bad investment compared to a CAI but if your going for the sound TRD imho has the nicest of the axle backs

 

even 2-3 are modest numbers....i personally think that a axle back will add zero...

LOOOOVE the way the trd sounds, but so damn expensive!

 

there was a post some where that showed that aftermarket axle back exhausts add around 5whp over stock ...

im pretty sure the TRD gives small gains like these even though everyone says it doesn't... if someone can prove me wrong with a TRD exhaust dyno showing no gains please do

 

TRD is def if you care about sound. but i like my agency power exhaust the best!! looks great and i can feel a difference.

 

i bought 5 exhausts with my tC.. and i love what i have now.. my car already gets enough attention as it is..and i hate loud exhaust.. what i have on now is the Megan Racing S-pipe and S-pipe back system mateed to a tunable Medalion Touring axle back.. talk about spending well over $2200 on exhausts.. but im finally happy with the way it sounds.. full performance and quiet with a schexy lookin tip and i love it

i got the trd muffler, dc header, and invidia s-pipe and it sounds grrrreat.

 

Im going with a tanabe concept g. Was debating to get the TRD but im going to test out the tanabe.

 

I got the TRD, and I love it.
Everyone else loves the sound too, and it looks great.
Pretty easy to keep shiny, and doesn't look ricer!

i got it to and i love the sound, it doesnt make that nasty loud noise, but i cant wait till i get my cai its going to sound better

 

i got the injen cai, and i didn't notice any change to my exhaust note. However, it did make a cool whistling sound as it pulled in air.

 

im selling a used trd for around 150 obo. just replaced with my megan drift spec

 

I think the TRD exhaust is a waste of money. Just take off the stock muffler and you'll get almost the same sound without spending the money.
