I took my front license plate off the other day because I thought my xB would look better with it off. However, there are those two screw holes that are just sticking out there and look really poor. I'm interested you guys have decided to keep your plate on or not and if you did decide to take it off what if anything you are putting in it's place to fill those holes.

yeah i feel you bro, i hate having the front license plate on....i wonder if you can fill the holes up with something and use touch up paint..hopefully someone on this board has a better idea...

O/T: How long does it take to get new vehicle plates? i have had my new xB for one month and one week but, still no plates and tags...

Im goin on 4 1/2 months for my plates so it might be a while.

I'll leave mine on only because the cops are silly around here and pull people over just for that.

I'm glad that FLA doesn't have front plates, so we don't have this prob.

but if we did, I'd put id up on the dash & tape it to the glass.

same here thats why i left mine on but if im not mistaken there are little thingy mabobbers like filer caps you can put in there... thats if my mind serves me correctly and i believe i saw them at autozone

it took 4 months for mine to arrive....hopefully you will not have to wait so long :roll:

I did get pulled over once for that, and all I do is use a zip-tie to hold my plate on the bottom grill of my car, once the cop signed it off I just cut the tie off and plate is gone again =) Its a $10 dollar citation around my area and I guess its not that expensive since I only got 1 no front plate ticket in 8 years

I havent ordered mine yet but once I do I am going to ask the dealer to not put mine on the xb so I can just prop it up in the window or just leave it in the glovebox and if the cop asks to see it I'll pull it out.

Never had it dealer never installed so i will not been that way since june heck i didnt even get my plates until dec, plus i live in a small town so the cops and cal hwy patrol have left me alone

i've got mine on.
cops are cracking down now because of the intersection cameras... they take your photo from the front and want front license plates in the picture. in the san fernado valley they station about 10 motorcycle cops at a given intersection and pull everyone that doesn't have a front plate over and ticket them. so if you haven't seen the heat... you will. it's all about the $$$$

besides, for me, time is money and i ain't gonna waste it on getting pulled over for something as stupid as a front plate -- the last thing i want is more attention from the ticket nazis...
