Default Rear Wiper Noise

My xA's rear wiper makes the wierdest noise (like scraping on glass) when I use it in the rain! Has anyone experienced this? Do I have a faulty wiper? Should it request a replacement?

Do you leave it on? I wish there was an intermittent setting, as it wipes too much and starts screaking. . . I dunno if this is the same sound as you are talking about.

It's the same with my xB. The wiper skips across the glass because the surface isn't slick enough, or the wiper just does to good of a job and leaves zero moisture behind. It's only worked silently once, and that was in a downpour that had traffic idling due to visibility being your windshield's distance from your face. Also occasionally if the wiper blades aren't used frequently enough, the heat cycles during the day warp them slightly so they conform to the window's curve at their resting point. Then when you turn it on, it doesn't contact properly, also leading to skips. Try swapping out wiper blades, or just shave the damned thing
