I will be going through the baking process of my headlights so that new clear corners can go in (why did I have to break the first ones during the install?) and I have been contemplating painting the black portion of the housing a glossy black. I am thinking that it would look good and seeing as though I am gonna have the whole housing broken apart for the CC install, I could do it at the same time. What do you think?

Get them painted FM if you're going to go through the process of having them painted.

 

hmmm...I just don't know if that will be too much FM. Has anyone painted this portion of the housing?

 

Yup. I've seen a few here on SL, Just keep in mind that painting the housings is going to add to the time that you don't have headlights. You don't wanna rush it.

 

Here's the first one I could think of. They are '08 headlights and painted white, but you get the idea.
