Max2k 10-29-2004, 12:47 AM Maybe the parking enforcement office didn't want to drill through the roof. Nathant888 10-29-2004, 01:43 AM Are they for real. wat the f#$K -nt 10-29-2004, 03:48 AM Hey that looks pretty cool, wonder if they could use an exhaust system. That would make it faster. :D fr130 10-29-2004, 04:01 AM At first I thought it was a Japanese bB Police Cruiser. lonewolfxb 11-05-2004, 12:27 AM the radio is always faster than the car. KevinxB 11-05-2004, 12:38 AM It has a number 3 on it...do they have a fleet of them?? I think it's cool looking. It'd be better if it was unmarked though. Who'd suspect a cop would drive a box? Nobody!! :D squirrel 11-05-2004, 12:44 AM Its prolly still faster than the 2001 Ford Crown Victoria I drove for the last two years.  JdMBboFSD 11-05-2004, 01:10 AM thats tight....... :D ThunderGod 11-05-2004, 05:51 AM Least they could have done is take the time to run the lightbar wiring correctly! Down the side of the windsheild? the judges at the shows will definitely take points off with that sloppy wiring.   beioski 11-05-2004, 04:20 PM I really hope this doesnt become a trend. I think i would have to hate myself like I hate all the a holes that drive crown vics and impalas. You know they do it just to mess with people on the highway. SweetDaddyDelicious 11-06-2004, 12:16 AM I think the last place the XB will be messing with people is the HIGHWAY! I also think the crown vics the police have are different. At my old job we had a retired police crown vic as our dyno calibration car. It had an aluminum driveshaft, different gear ratio, and different speced engine (cam, etc) Didn't have lights anymore but it still had that stupid searchlight and the puke resistant rear seat. rallyxb 11-06-2004, 03:57 AM It's the slowest law-enforcement vehicle in existance. Duh.... :?: Maybe it's got a supercharger in it? Remember... you can't out run a Radio. All they need to do is call ahead and get the real cops to bust your ___. chadfo 11-06-2004, 08:57 PM Remember... you can't out run a Radio. I don't condone attempting to outrun the police by any means but I have to respond to this comment because I've seen/heard it so often. Outrunning the police is a matter of speed, intelligence, and luck. It can be done and the police radio can't do much about it. It really depends on the terrain, the situation, and the saturation of police officers in the area. I was riding with my cousin one day in an 80 something Chevy Nova. We passed an unmarked police car doing about 60 in a 45. My cousin saw the police officer brake and turn around. Fortunately we were coming up on a fork in the road. We darted right which took us out of sight and then took the next right which was just a short distance ahead. From there we zig-zagged through the neighborhood until we came out on another highway and made our way home. The terrain and the situation kept my cousing from getting caught and receiving a ticket. The police radio was useless. Everything happened too quickly. In the news a couple of months ago a motorcycle was speeding up I-95. The radios were effective because police cars were able to keep track of where the bike was considering they weren't able to keep up with it. I believe the bike ran out of gas or the guy got tired and pulled over. It would have been a simple matter of him getting out of sight and hiding or taking an exit and getting off the interstate and he could have disappeared down back roads. The lack of intelligence got him caught. From what was heard on police scanners they would never have caught him unless he wrecked. In both of those cases luck played a part because no one was hurt. I just wanted to illustrate that it can be done. Do not do this at home! |
