Default Shortshifter question

O.K. So after going through 8 pages searching for my answer I am going to ask it. I am going to get a short shifter. I have read the how to's. So with all of the brands available I think I am going with the TRD. Who has it and how easy was it to install. Do you notice much of a difference? I want to do this because the shifter is sloppy in my xB and want to firm it up. Also the TRD unit come with the housing so it looks a little less labor intensive to install. Thanks.

the shifters that come with a housing are easy to instal, its
been over a year so I don't remember sizes and what not,
but I do remember the first attempt to install, took like 15-
20 minutes with basic hand tools.

TRD unit is a direct replacement for the stock unit. What the unit does is shorten the throw by 20%, it also comes with brass base bushings which is really what gets the slop out of the shifts. If you want u can just get the brass base bushings from www.corsportusa.com if you like the stock shifter and just want to get rid of the slop. They also have metal shifter cable bushings, which is a good idea to get if you go in either direction.

I got the trd, great. Its like driving a sports car vs moving a stick around in a bucket of gravel.
