BLeeK 10-28-2004, 04:02 PM I have not found anything, I think you're pretty much stuck with the stock shifter...thres other threds on this and nothing ever surfaced from the aftermarket.,..you would think Scion would come up with something, I mean they have diffrent steering wheels, why not different auto shifters? uncompiled 10-28-2004, 04:21 PM Does the automatic have an overdrive button? I had a Momo Automatico shift knob on one of my old cars (that didn't have one) and it looked really good... I still have it laying around in a box somewhere. snicka 10-28-2004, 04:28 PM That sux. Oh, well. It does have an overdrive button. Joehnn 10-28-2004, 04:34 PM I know there are aftermarket shift knobs for the manual, but are there any for the auto? Thanks. Good Question. I was wondering the same thing. How about a template that changes the colors from Green to Blue for the forward gears on the shifter and the dash? the_saint 10-28-2004, 04:38 PM This might help alittle. :? http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5560&highlight=automatic+shift+knob BLeeK 10-28-2004, 04:39 PM yeah, it has overdrive on it.... the only thing I can think of is a slip on and off housing thats available in different colors and of course CF!! but, if they havn't made it yet I highly doubt they will ever surface..Maybe we can talk to the legendary fabricator Gary Nish to make some :D :D Milhamscion 10-28-2004, 04:40 PM Razo makes one. There are a few others, but the quality just is'nt there. RogueXB 10-28-2004, 06:01 PM Go to OBX web site, they make shifters knobs for both Auto and Manual. snicka 10-28-2004, 06:07 PM I checked out http://www.obxracingsports.com and could not find any shifter knobs. Did I miss them? TheScionicMan 10-28-2004, 06:29 PM The problem with the auto in the xB is you need two buttons, one for the shift locking mechanism and one for the O/D. I've yet to find a simple replaement for it. I recall a thread from a while back where the guy just relocated the O/D switch onto the center floor console and was then able to get the single button Auto shift knob and boot it to look like a stick. I've got a different idea I'm cooking that will get around the problem and hopefully look trick as hell, but i can't talk about that until it is executed... TheScionicMan 10-28-2004, 06:33 PM I checked out http://www.obxracingsports.com and could not find any shifter knobs. I don't think that will work for autos. No OD button. I'm making a leather cover for mine. Pics soon. Laura the_saint 10-28-2004, 08:10 PM That doesn't have the O/D button on it does it? Minsk99 10-28-2004, 08:22 PM I replaced mine with a dope Razo auto shifter with o/d button. Wasn't too hard. You just have to be willing to cut the wires going to the original knob and splice to the new one. One problem was that the "action" on the Razo knob is different in that you need to click it up and down (two clicks) to turn on or off. What I did was to splice another set of wires and run the OEM button to the space below my ebrake. Both buttons work. I actually like the position of the OEM button where it is now. I have the jj products arm rest so my hand hangs down right where the button is. I'll post a picture latter. BTW I got mine at a small shop in China Town in LA, but I think you can get these at Super Autobacs etc. Old_Punk 10-28-2004, 08:54 PM What would be nice is a plain white cue ball knob with the button almost flush on top, like cars in the '60s. OK, black too. And aluminum. Since I always have the overdrive on, that button could be in the spare tire well for all I care. 10-29-2004, 12:23 AM Just got off the phone with autobacs.. seems the Napolex knobs work too, website at: http://www.napolex.com/knobs.html preview here, more colors/finishes on the web link above: http://www.napolex.com/products/lv-451lg.jpg Pushbutton on top for the lock out detent, button on the side for OD.. guy at autobacs said Razo was going to discontinue the RA91. they have the RA92 available though.. (difference is black insert on the 91, carbon fiber on the 92) Big_Jim 10-29-2004, 12:48 AM Theres an xB on cardomain with the auto and had a momo shift knob and momo shift boot. seen it one day a while back and fell in love with it. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/531755 anyone know where to find this?? or how hard it is to install??
