This is the symbol for rookie driver in japan. Simular to the big yellow Rookie Driver magnet you put on your car in the us.

 

So why do people WANT to put it on thier car?

 

Because it is JDM. Most people don't know what it means here in the states. It all boils down to JDM.

 

Funny, that reminds me of the green maple leaf stickers Polish drivers used to stick on the windshield and on the back window of their car to indicate that they were "green".

Yeah they have an experienced driver one also. Someone should make on in the shape of a box. A little two tone yellow and green box. It can be for all us "rookie driver boxes".

I have this decal at home, I want to put it on my box but people am wondering if people will get this confused with the Jamaican flag

yeah, i'm japanese, and i knew what it meant in japan, but didn't know it was so popular in the US. to me, its just a colored symbol that means "student driver". some even put the kareba mark, the orange-ish leaf sticker, meaning that you're a senior citizen behind the wheel of a car. my japanese friends and i start to laugh when we see either or both pasted onto civics.

 

haha thats me....i got my valve cover painted red yellow n green. n most of the time i have my hood popped at show with my bob marley little poster and a litttle statue of him!lol

USDM its just a sense of style so dont "shoot" JDM down. I have Wakabas on my xB. But I actually am a beginning driver (been driving for a little over a year) so it works for me. Now when I see a tC with it, I want to walk over and rip it off!! the tC is NOT JDM! but my wakabas wont be on my xB for much longer as I'm going VIP with my xB and Wakabas arent apart of that style.
