Check it out. 300+ horseys with 250+ lbs ft of torque. Am I really finding myself wanting a Hyundai?
Aroddalobster 11-15-2007, 04:06 AM looks like a lexus to me...
Angry_Celi_Guy 11-15-2007, 02:48 PM id drive one, they look real nice to me, and im sure this is going to be a engine swap happy car.
DriverXa 11-15-2007, 04:38 PM This is going to be one sick car. Base model is going to start at just under $20K for a 2.0L Turbo 4 with a 6speed and near 50/50 weight distribution. I'm just really glad that someone is building an affordable rwd coupe other than the Ford Mustang. I think this is going to be the best performance value of this decade, I'll definitly be checking this car out.....and possibly tradeing up for it.
Angry_Celi_Guy 11-15-2007, 05:56 PM i believe the turbo 4 is only overseas, the us will get the v6/v8 model. still a great buy
DriverXa 11-15-2007, 10:00 PM http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/15/exclusive-details-on-the-production-hyundai-genesis-coupe/
Turbo 4 and v6 backed by either 6spd manual or auto are a go. No v8 in this car's future. Will be on sale sometime in fall 08.
jamessicat25 11-15-2007, 10:12 PM makes the tC look like a toyota yaris 3door
NotAllBad 11-16-2007, 01:25 AM give hyundai credit where its due, they are stepping up their game...

draxcaliber 11-16-2007, 01:53 AM if it does sell for about 20 grand, it isn't going to actually look like that at all.
InfideL 11-16-2007, 01:55 AM i agree
but its still a great improvement
Dwatts5250 11-16-2007, 01:55 AM How long before I can test drive the model....(or is that an accessory that wont come with the car?)
HR_Guy 11-16-2007, 05:25 PM As long as the production model looks like that, or very close, I'd get it for a new daily driver. But my guess would be they water it down when it hits sales.
emokid158 11-16-2007, 05:28 PM solara mixed with an is-F? O_o
tCTaco 11-16-2007, 05:34 PM Toyota better get there ish together, cause hyundai is on a come up!
10PieceNuggets 11-17-2007, 12:10 AM Thats is BEAUTIFUL  The whole car looks sick, anyone who says "in the end its still a Hyundai" should get shot. :tap:
OPINIONATOR_xD 11-17-2007, 04:59 PM that's attractive.
cwayne 11-19-2007, 04:12 AM Toyota won't do a darn thing. They'll compete with it with the next gen tC which will have about an extra 300lbs, 5hp increase over the previous model and most important... 65-35 f/r weight distribution FWD car. LOL!
jamessicat25 11-19-2007, 04:31 AM well the only hope toyota has is the revival of the great supra MKV
cwayne 11-19-2007, 09:50 PM well the only hope toyota has is the revival of the great supra MKV
Yeah, a $70,000 car certainly will give Toyota respect.
The reason why the EVO and the WRX were such kick arse cars is that many more can afford a $25K - $35K car rather than a $70K. MK4 Supra sold for about $54K in 1998. A near 10 year inflation... $70K easily.
I lost all faith on Toyota. If a Korean company is going to cater to the masses of enthusiasts... I'm quite disappointed in Toyota.
I can see it now, 2009 Scion tC, 500lb weight gain and a whopping 165hp engine, up 5 from 160hp.

FREEradical 11-23-2007, 08:09 PM Did anyone see the actual production model? Just looks like your run of the mill hyundai, some guy posted a link in one of the posts above mine. Truthfully it's not impressive, I'm really ____ed cause that concept is almost a PERFECT looking car.
