Question: If i put a short ram or cai intake into my car would I have to do any maintenance such as cleaning the filter or oiling it on any brand? Or would it be fine ryt after install? thanks

 

that is pretty much it, get a filter cleaning kit.

take it off, hose it out, and re-oil it periodically.

sigh...actually, my filter is WAY overdue for a cleaning...too lazy to get that bumper off...

 

it is a pain, its so simple to take off, i just dread lining it back up when putting it back on.

 

you had to take your bumper off? i just need to take my wheel off and go through the well. it doesnt really need to be cleaned all that often though. i thought mine was gonna be hella dirty after like 20k. but when i hosed/brushed it there was like no dirt.

what do i need to clean the Fujita intake? does it need to be reoiled cuz i dont think theirs came oiled.

draxcaliber, i took off my bumper to install my cai too, but someone who I talked to said he did it through the fender lining, so there might be an easier way

 

Yeah its way easier to just do it through the wheel well. Just take off the tire and peel back the fender.
