Tc808 10-30-2004, 08:54 AM Okay I'm sold :D Ordered a set today  chris0 10-31-2004, 07:27 AM let us know what you think once they're installed. I'm way happy with mine. Tc808 11-01-2004, 03:36 AM let us know what you think once they're installed. I'm way happy with mine. Will do! Tc808 11-08-2004, 11:03 PM let us know what you think once they're installed. I'm way happy with mine. Just got the springs installed and it looks and handles much better than stock. Perfect amount of drop as I don't really like the slammed look. It's just my preference but I don't really like the look of the 2"+ drop. Thanks again for the feedback guys. 11-08-2004, 11:40 PM where are the pics? And how long did it take to install? :) Tc808 11-10-2004, 03:04 AM where are the pics? And how long did it take to install? :) Okay I'll shoot a couple and post tomorrow. The install took a loooong time. Actually what took a lot of time was removing everything from the back hatch area. Dropped a clip or two down the side panel and had to take off the rear seats to get to it. The actual install took about 1 1/2 hours. Kro781 11-12-2004, 01:28 PM well any pics??? Kev Tc808 11-12-2004, 08:28 PM Okay I got around to taking a couple of pics after washing so here they are: http://img123.exs.cx/img123/1838/b17.jpg http://img123.exs.cx/img123/1769/a19.jpg I know a lot of people like it lowered more but the TRD springs are perfect for me :D Kev_the_rev 11-16-2004, 01:40 AM not to jack your thread or anything but when you lower it on springs.. did your ride quality change at all? better or worse? and whats the purpose ot struts and shocks? I don't know anything about suspension x_x hotbox05 11-16-2004, 02:07 AM how much of the rear needed to be taken out and how long did that take? did u need a spring compressor. since i'm in the business of mods for cheap i have a tc comin my way soon and need to know. thanx Tc808 11-16-2004, 03:05 AM not to jack your thread or anything but when you lower it on springs.. did your ride quality change at all? better or worse? and whats the purpose ot struts and shocks? I don't know anything about suspension x_x The ride feels a little stiffer when going over bumps but aside from that it feels about the same. What changed beside the look and stance is the handling which is noticeably better w/ less body roll. chris0 11-19-2004, 06:02 AM looks nice, Tc808. I told you you'd like it  doesn't the car handle so much better now? 11-19-2004, 04:42 PM 1 1/2 hours to install? Thats not a bad time, but makes me wonder. How did you make the rear spring slip in with out a spring compressor? squirrel 11-19-2004, 05:19 PM Nice drop tc808. Looks really nice. Tc808 11-19-2004, 05:27 PM looks nice, Tc808. I told you you'd like it  doesn't the car handle so much better now? Okay okay...lol. Yup I'm pleased with the better handling and stance. 11-19-2004, 05:33 PM We knew you would. :D Still wondering about the rear springs though. Tc808 11-19-2004, 05:35 PM 1 1/2 hours to install? Thats not a bad time, but makes me wonder. How did you make the rear spring slip in with out a spring compressor? Well that 1 1/2 hours was the actual spring install which doesn't include the time to take out everything but the back hatch area and also the wiper cover. Oh and I did use a spring compressor. I also had my friend helping me for a lot of the install which really helped, esp. since he has access to a lift and all the tools. It would probably be two days if I did it myself in my garage  11-19-2004, 05:41 PM  Well, you still get my props on the install! Good job man, the car really looks clean. :D Tc808 11-19-2004, 07:05 PM  Well, you still get my props on the install! Good job man, the car really looks clean. :D Thanks Stylis. I would have taken it to you for the install but it's a damn far drive from Hawaii. |
