Ok lets start by saying... I am not responsible for anything by posting this all info is provided as a "use at your own risk basis". Also if you dont know hot to remove or cant figure out how to remove the interior pieces and headliner DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS you will not make it threw it all.
Everyone installs an alarm a different way I like to find all the wires before I install my alarms so I know how long to make each wire and where to send it. If you dont know what you are doing please dont try and complain to me if you mess up. All though the scion xb is very easy to work on I wouldnt attempt anything I wasnt 100% I could complete.
Make sure you test every wire before you make a connection if your are not sure of what a wire does why connect it with something. You could end up spending big bucks.
Lets Start....
Remove 3 Screws holding on the panle covering the steering column. 1 Silver one underneath and 2 behind the steering wheel itself. You h ave to turn the steering wheel to get to these 2 screws. After that pull apart the panel. Only other things you need to remove are the drivers door sill and kick panel no screws need to be removed.

Every alarm need to be programmed so even if you find all the wires but cant figure the programming out your car might not be able to move.
If you need someone to insall an alarm/remotestart/keyless jsut send me an PM. I live in Chesapeake VA so if your close by I will be able to do it asap. I need money bad cuase Im moving to NJ soon.
Thanks James
