you didn't do a burn out, that is more like a peel out.

a burn out is when your wheels are spinning, but the car isn't moving.

so yank the parking brake up, rev up high, drop the clutch, the tires will break traction, and you keep on the gas, spinning the tires and making smoke and lots of noise. you don't want to rev to o high or you'll hit the rev limitor, and it will cut the fuel and you'll bogg down.

no, we don't have traction control.

chirping second is something all manual tc's can do.

it is a waste to do on street tires, it is bad for your synchros, and it is hard on our clutch.

sounds like you are bouncing off the rev limitor.

The noises you desribe sound like wheel hop more than hitting the rev limiter.

yeah...your bouncing off the rev limitor. redline is at 6200 rpms, in 05-06 tc's, peak hp is at 5700 rpms, and like 6000 rpms for 07-08.

while you want to shift at the highest rpms for best acceleration so you'll have the most power in the next gear, but if you bounce off the rev limitor, you bog down when it cuts the fuel.

anyway, there is no reason to rev over 6000 rpms in a tc, you have already reached peak hp, and when you upshift, power has peaked and your not going to get much outta those last couple hundred rpms.

anyway, you don't want to chirp your tires anyway, more stress on the clutch and synchros, and the tires chirping at them losing traction, which means they aren't actually pulling the car for a second.

also, the "bum bum bum" could be the sudden change between the engine speed matching the wheel speed because you are over reving.

well my first question since i got the burnout thing down is, when i switch to second gear slammin through 1st to 2nd it feels like the whole engine/trans, hops or stutters whatever and my friends are like your gonna rip your transmission out, i shift at 6200-6300rpm and it does feel wierd. when shifting sometimes it chirps but most of the time it does that wired shaking so is it alright or shall i do somthing different

yeah, you are shock loading the engine and all the torque is making the engine twist inside then engine comparment. that is why it feels like it is moving, and the engine is connected to the trans, which is connected to the shifter.

banging noise is wheel hop. Stiffer motor mounts can help reduce this. too much wheel hop can break half-shafts
