Default Recommended parking light bulb in a '08 tC?

Hello all,

I've done extensive (re)searching on this forum about changing the parking light bulbs. It seems that LEDs tend to die out due to the heat, while PIAA bulbs start flaking off their coating, also due to heat.

Are all these heat problems applicable for a '08 tC? The low beams are enclosed in the projector housing, so would heat still be a problem?

Anyways, I'd like to hear what people have used as their parking light bulbs in their '08 tC headlights....

unless you constantly use your high beams you should be fine....and your bulbs should last.

do ur parkinglights stay on when the low beams are on like the older models?
cause if so u have a small choice of colors due to the lowbeam not being able to hide n0n white bulbs..

yes, the parking light stays on when the low beams are on. (thats typical/normal, isnt it?)

eventually, i'd like to get HIDs for my lights, w/ 5000K bulbs, so i'd like to replace the oem parking lights with something like the PIAA Extreme White bulbs

I have some Polarg super white bulbs. They look great and I've never had a problem with them. I had them on my old car also.

In my old car, a year or two. In the Scion, about 6 months.

Default bump

so I guess most bulbs, even LEDs, are ok to use in the '08 head lights, as the heat exposure is no longer a problem?
